Prologue: The Firstborn Curse

1914 - The Enchanted Forest
Lya Jones was loved by the entire crew of the Jolly Rodger. Former the day she was born, she brought a light into the lives of all the pirates but none more so then her father's. It was well know fact that the only thing Captain Hook loved more the rum was his little girl especially after her mother, Rhea Mikaelson's, death.

Then six years after Lya was born things began to change. She began showing signs of magic and it wasn't long before the crew that the Captain's daughter was in fact a witch. However, Killian didn't even have time to come terms with the truth before the child was taken.

The woman appeared on the ship in the middle of the day. She had dark hair and eyes, that admittly set their sights on the child.

"Step aside pirate" the woman spoke moving towards the girl. "I here for my niece's child as she is rightfully mine."

"Stay away from her" Hook said pushing his daughter behind him. The girl watched the woman with wide eyes remembering a story her mother told her. It story about how when Rhea was her daughter's age the very woman, Dahlia, that stood on the deck came for Rhea's twin sister Freya. "You're not getting her."

"Rhea never told you did she?" Dahlia said before glancing at the child "but she did tell you, didn't she little one?" Lya nodded and Dahlia went on. "Yes, of course she did. Rhea was always the smarter one of the twins. I would have taken her as well but sadly Freya was the first and that was the deal Esther and I made." Dahlia looked back at Killian. "You see my sister gave me right to every firstborn child in her bloodline so that she can have a family. So you can see why I must take the girl."

"I already to..." Hook began to speak but Lya cut him off.

"It okay, Father" she told him stepping out from behind him and Dahlia held her hand to the child.

"Very good Child" Dahlia said when Lya took her hand. Then with a snap of her fingers Dahlia and Lya disappeared.

2014 - Land 'Without' Magic
The second Dahlia returned to her home realm with Lya, Freya appeared and grabbed the girl. It was already to late because Dahlia had already placed the spell on the child linking her to both her Aunt and Great-Aunt.

A hundred years later, Lya woke up in New Orleans and for first got to her entire family. Instantly the small child took to her hybrid Uncle Niklaus and after the death of Dahlia, she seemed to get even more attached to him. Where Klaus was, it almost always likely that you'd his niece not far behind.

If Lya couldn't be found with her Uncle Nik, the next like place to find her was anywhere between Freya and Hope. Lya loved her little cousin more then anything and since the two were a dopplegangers of each other it was only natural Lya was drawn to her.

As for Lya's attachment to Freya, it was simply. Freya and Rhea where identical twins, so Lya clearly saw her mother in her Aunt. Freya was always teaching the girl magic.

When Kol and Finn where brought back to life, Lya instantly took to Kol over Finn. Maybe it was because Kol meet the girl back in 1914 but it was easy to see that Kol was giving Klaus a run for his money when it came to favorite uncle.

Then there was Hayley. Lya absolutely adored Hayley and for many reasons. Hayley, much like Freya, stepped in as a mother figure for the child but where Freya taught Lya magic, Hayley taught basically everything else. The big factor into Lya's love for Hayley however came from the factor that when the Mikaelsons fall Hayley was the one that choose to raise the girl alongside having to raise Hope and find away to save the Mikaelsons.

Note: So there's the prologue. Chapter one will pick up right at the end of the fourth season of the originals with Hope heading off to The Salvatore School. Also Lya and Hope being dopplegangers of each other means that Lya is protrayed by Danielle Rose Russell, so please don't freak out or anything.
