Four weeks into having her father back, Lya began feeling home sick. After spending so many years with just Hayley and occasional being babysat by Grandma Mary with Hope, it seemed almost weird not waking up and one of them being there. In the six years she'd been legally known as a Mikaelson, she'd grown accustomed to certain things that she didn't have in Camelot or with the group from Storybrooke.
After Merlin had been turned back into a person, he began to notice the girl was acting different. For her entire life the Sorcerer had been keeping an eye on the girl, he probably knew her better than she knew herself, so of course he'd notice something was off with the little witch.
"You known there's a reason Camille left that amulet to you" Merlin spoke to Lya when it was only the two of then in diner. "Instead of it going to your cousin with the rest of her dark objects."
"And why's that" Lya asked.
"Because I told her too" Merlin stated "As you know it's a powerful magical object but it's not quiet a dark one. It's actually the complete opposite and for centuries I've been searching for it proper owner."
"And you believe that's me" Lya said with a sarcastic 'yeah right' tone in her voice. "I'm not known for being a good witch."
"Oh I know" Merlin said "I've been keeping my eyes on you but you see that amulet doesn't pick someone because their a good person but because they're a light in the mist of darkness. If you don't believe me look closely at the engraving on the underside of it."
Lya stared at him for a moment before twisting the crystal so she could see the back. It was very small and in viking symbols but there was her was her full name, Lyanna Mikaelson-Jones.
"What, does this make me some sort of..." She paused to think of the right words and within seconds they popped into her head. "Light One"
"That's one way of putting it" Merlin remarked. "Though that doesn't mean your in the same situation as the Dark One. Your not immortal or anything like that, your just simply a very powerful witch that can stand there own against the Dark One."
