This was bad. This was really really bad. She'd only had him back six weeks and now she was watching her father bleed out.

"When did that happen?" Regina asked as Lya rushed forward and kneeled beside Emma.

"It was Excalibur" Emma told them "but it was just a small cut. I healed it."

"I'm afraid it only seemed that way" Merlin said and Lya looked at the Sorcerer so fast you would have thought she gave herself whiplash. "Excalibur was furged to cut in multi ties. Wound from it cannot be healed."

"What?" Mary Margaret asked "There has to be something we can do. That she can do."

"Even Emma's power isn't strong enough" Merlin said "Nor is my own."

"What about mine?" Lya asked. "Even if I can't heal him, I can do a link spell till we find something that can."

"You know as well as I" Merlin began "that even if you channeled Emma, Regina, your mother's spirit and I, you still wouldn't be strong enough to prefer that spell last minute."

"What if I used the Promethean flame to release you from Excalibur" Emma asked "Then used it to tether Hook's life to it instead. It could save him?"

"Do you know what that would do" Merlin asked the blonde.

"It could create another Dark One" Lya stated realising just how bad Emma's idea could be.

"It would multiple the darkness so that it can not be destroyed" Merlin informed Emma. "Not without you paying the deepest of prices. It will be your final step into the dark."

"I don't care what happens to me" Emma said.

"Emma wait" David said as Mary Margaret crouched by her husband.

"Please don't you can't." the mother said to her daughter.

"Your parents are right" Regina told her.

"If you could have saved Daniel or Robin" Emma snapped and turned to the Evil Queen. "Look how far you were willing to go. How far you pushed me to save him. I'm not going to lose Killian. I won't let anyone stop me."

"Emma" Lya hissed but the Dark One and her dad disappeared into a cloud of smoke. She quickly got to her feet and walked out of the diner.

"I'll go talk to her" Mary Margaret said about to fall after the girl but Regina held up her hand to stop her.

"Not a good idea, Snow" Regina said "Your own daughter's going to be the reason she loses her father to darkness. You and David going anywhere near her till she claims down will just send her into a fit of rage. I'll go talk to her."

Regina quickly followed after the girl. In the time the Evil Queen had explained why the Charmings couldn't go after the girl, Lya managed to put a fair amount of distance between herself and Granny's.

"You were okay with having to say goodbye, weren't" Regina said when she found the girl sitting by pound.

"That obvious huh" Lya said

"Well you did agree that Emma shouldn't do it" Regina stated "and considering it only been six weeks since you reunited with Hook, it's to assume you were okay with becoming an orphan."

"I spent half of my conscious life without him" Lya said as the tears began to from. "I could spend the rest of it with him gone and the only thing that would really changes is that I'd actually know he's dead. But now instead of him just being gone he'll be the bad guy and I don't want to look at my dad and see a monster."
