- chapter ten -
[A/N: Hey. Sorry for the long wait. Gonna release this one chapter first while I tidy up the rest since school's been pretty overwhelming for me. I'm trying to find time to polish the rest but it is quite hard. Hope you all can bear with me. I'll do my best to release the rest of the chapters ASAP. Enjoy this chapter!]
No matter how busy the streets were, the non-audible strangers passing by had to make way for a melancholy man trudging his feet back home to his fiancé. As the Tokyo sky grew darker, so did Kuroo's head. By the time he reached his residence, all energy from that day was drained from him. Nothing except an irritable pain was aching in his chest. It's been ten years since he felt this intense amount of guilt. This sadness. This despair. All because he saw his soulmate with someone else. 'A taste of your own medicine,' They say. And indeed, Kuroo was inevitably served his karma.
But he tried to not let it get to him. As guilty as he felt, in the end, he couldn't change anything. An already-engaged man trying to find his ways into the arms of his true soulmate? No way. Life isn't that easy to get away from. As he walked to his room, he could hear the faint voice of his fiancé talking over the phone to someone.
'That's right. I already have her.' He tried easing his mind by remembering whom he was going to soon marry.
"Hey, I'm home."
"And then-- Oh, Tetsu-kun!" Sakura's smile brightened by a thousand. "Hey, I got to go, thanks for having me!" She quickly put the phone down and leapt into his arms, not caring about the makeup getting onto his clothes.
"Oi, oi, missing me so fast?" He teased her as usual, despite the small uneasiness he feels in his gut. "How was your sleepover?"
"It was great catching up with her after all these years. But I still miss you." Her hug tightened around his waist.
As the two carried on with the conversation while being in each other's arms, Kuroo could feel that uneasiness growing bigger and bigger. He couldn't put his finger on why he felt that way, but his heart was starting to sink. His mind couldn't focus on Sakura. It was all clouded with haze. A dark, grey, haze just circled his mind the whole time. The man was hurt, but he was doing everything in his power to not let Sakura see it. She was already catching onto him, he didn't want her to worry anymore.
Without realising it, Sakura was slowly taking off his shirt. Her lust for him seemed to have taken over her. She leaned in for a kiss and he complied. Following her lead, Kuroo decided to let Sakura take over tonight. After everything, his heart felt weaker. He thought that maybe Sakura could heal him from his nightmare today. Maybe Sakura could make his pain go away. Like how she's been the cure for his pain the past ten years. Maybe, just maybe.
He was wrong.
So very, very wrong.
Every time their skin touched, he felt like backing out. It was hard enough keeping himself aroused, it was even harder to not instinctively pull back from Sakura's touches. Each kiss they shared, each stroke he did, everything seemed to make it worse and worse. His heart was shrouded in a grey smoke that clouded his mind. Seeing [Y/N] with someone else, especially knowing that it was his fault, made him go numb. Halfway in the action, Kuroo was having intrusive thoughts of [Y/N]. And obviously, a man in lust can't think straight.
'Why did I do that to you, [Y/N]? Why? Why? You were everything to me back then, so why--'
"Hngh, [Y/N]-"
"What?"
