Camila was sitting on the stairs in front of her house looking at the small carton box in her hands, feeling like she was making the toughest decision ever regarding the box which came in courier for her, from Mexico.

The box came nearly 5 months ago, 3 months after her best friend left but she didn't pay attention to it till recently. She has been staring at it all day, still trying to decide if she should open it or not. One of the talks with Austin made her realize that maybe Lauren had a good (but unforgivable nonetheless) reason for it all. He somehow managed to remind Camila of her Papa J's words.

'If you are confused that doesn't mean you should jump to conclusions. It would make the matter worse.'

Camila hated herself for forgetting that. She didn't like it at all when she did things that she was asked not to do in her life. Her Papa J always told her that experience teaches you better than anything. Every mistake made her better but also demanded her some price to pay. For past few months she believed in a thing which may not be even true and the pain she was feeling was terrible. She didn't like it at all.

It wasn't who she thought she was, so dependent, but her actions told otherwise. It was right whoever said that your power can also be your strongest weakness. God knows how weak she has become when Lauren is no longer in her life.

She really wanted a relief from the pain. How ironic it is that sometimes the thing that caused the pain is also the only medicine for it. Maybe the cure to her pain is this box.

Camila turned her head and looked behind her. She was not able to see anything though she knew the door of the house was open. She could hear a baby crying, her farther barking orders, few whispers and jogging footsteps in the background of their servants and her mother shouting along the lines "Why did electricity of the whole town had to go today?!"

She returned her attention to the box. She feared that instead of giving some relief that she needed, the box would add more pain for her. By the shape and weight of the carton, she could tell that there was a book inside of it. The first guess was Lauren's journal. That was something she really didn't want to read. She didn't want to relive the last year of them together through Lauren's mind which won't give answers to the questions she wanted because the diary will only have information till last to last December when her life seemed to be perfect with Lauren by her side.

Again she didn't want to jump to conclusions and make a wrong decision. May be there is more than just a journal, or there is no journal at all. So, she finally decided to open the carton to look inside and would decide later to what to do with the things in it. Mainly, she already decided to not even flip the pages, if it is Lauren's journal.

It was 8 in the evening and totally dark except for the crescent moon in the sky. She turned on the flash light of her new phone; she got for her 12th birthday and put it in her mouth for support. She kept the box in portrait position and took out her father's car key, he just handed out to her.

She tried to open from the top but she realized that it has too much tapping and glue on it. She didn't want to ruin her father's car key and add the something to increase his frustration at the moment.
