She was nervous. Something that seemed to be new to her in such a long time but this was becoming a regular thing at the moment because of the situation between her and her 'former-best friend'.
For Lauren, Camila was still her best friend and when she came here she expected that they can go back to how things were within a week. A week was enough for Camila to act like she is still upset from Lauren been gone away. Lauren is shocked that it's been 3 weeks and still Camila had been completely ignoring her or is a bitch when they interact. Maybe her personality has changed. It's not the Camila, who was touchy by nature and would always give her a hug when they met again on every new day.
Lauren has finally convinced herself from Camila's behavior that for the younger brunette, Lauren is not a person she seems to care about at all. But it doesn't change that Lauren doesn't care for Camila anymore. She always has, all her life.
Lauren was confused too. Her confusion was turning into anger every time she had to face Camila. The two Latinas had met 7 times in those 3 weeks and the moment Lauren thought everything thing has started to come back right on track with Camila, the younger Latina starts ignoring Lauren. Last time, she met Camila was when her mother and Lauren went to a coffee shop. They ended up having coffee with Camila and she was all friendly but the moment her mom was not present, Camila completely ignored her.
Lauren as a person would never let down the people she cared about. Lauren would not ever force Camila into something, Camila doesn't want. And right now Lauren thinks Camila hates her. But the main question is why.
'No pressure'. That was what keeping Lauren from going to Camila and wrap the petite girl in her arms and speak all her emotions out. She didn't want to pressure on force Camila into anything.
But that was not working now. She needed it to be heard out loud. She needed Camila to tell her to back off. Just those words would do the thing. Or she thought so.
"Stop being nervous, Laur." A voice came which broke Lauren out of her thoughts. "You have to talk to her soon."
"I know that by now. Credit goes to the three musketeers of my life." Lauren said smiling at the owner of the voice and simultaneously rolled her eyes.
"Indeed."
"You know I am getting tired of you three teaming up and convincing me to do everything thing you want."
"What are you talking about?" The brunette with brown eyes said innocently.
Lauren again rolled her eyes and said "Like right fucking now. You wanted me to either talk to Camila or forget about her. And now, see how you are getting it."
"No, you always do what you want. We did what you stated but we aren't getting it. You are going to talk to Camila so that you can leave her. You just want a confirmation." The girl sat beside Lauren and said.
"Oh come on Ally, you guys gave a major push to me which lead me to what I am thinking now. I just... I just know that she is worth fighting for. But I wanna know if she wants me to fight for her or not. I am just here for good, I know that she was hurt when I was gone just like me. Maybe more than me. But if she is not willing I can't do anything." Lauren said moving closer to Ally and rested her head on Ally's shoulder for few moments till a voice disturbed them.
"I see her! I am sure it's her! Found her, found her!" The second musketeer of Lauren's life came running to her room and yelled. The whole time when she came and went back, her arms were up in the air like she has accomplished the world's most important prize.
"Oh my god! Wait, Mani. I want to see her too!" Ally ran after the dark-skinned girl.
Lauren rolled her eyes and followed her too, to the lawn.
