Sunny brought Klaus a sandwich and found him reading something with a strange excitement.
"What you up to Klaus?" Sunny asked curiously.
"Lily narrowed down the places Olaf would go into hiding if he had to. And we've been to one of these places before." Sunny took a peak at the pictures pinned to the map.
"You mean Olaf's house?"
"Exactly. Thanks for the sandwich Sunny."
"No problem." Sunny gave her brother a toothy smile and left. Quigley sat down next to him with his own sandwich and looked over the map with Olaf's house. Klaus looked back at Lily's notes with troubled eyes.
"What's wrong?" Quigley asked.
"There's a lot of places Olaf could go to. Would he really risk going back there?"
"Maybe. Olaf isn't that smart."
"But Lily is. She would let us know if she was in there, and if she wasn't there, she would at least leave a clue."
"You think it might be worth checking out?"
"I don't see why not." Klaus admitted. "It be too risky to go all together in the daytime though."
"There's no way your going alone, Klaus. Violet would murder us both." Klaus nodded, and Quigley got up to find Violet, who was inventing something to relieve her stress and worry.
Klaus munched on his sandwich, wondering why the clues pointed to the first place they met Count Olaf and how they could find out if Lily was there. It was troubling to him that another person he had found so interesting had found their way into Olaf's clutches. Isadora, he had blamed himself, Fiona, he knew she would never leave her brother, but why Lily? She was smart and beautiful and kind. Her spyglass was hidden in his pocket and constantly reminded him of what Olaf took from him.
He angrily made a vow that Olaf would pay for anything and everything that happened to Lily as tears came to his eyes. He had to find her.
