"How soon do we forget, how we felt, dealing with emotions, that never left, playing with the hand that we were dealt, in this game? Maybe I'm the sinner, and you're the saint, gotta stop pretending, what we ain't, why we pointing fingers, anyway, when we're the same?" -Ariana Grande-Butera
Today was the day. The day where Giorgia Capone finally step foot back in Birmingham.
After five months being away and four weeks since last speaking to Thomas and Charlie, she was so ready to step back into her home with her little family. Granted her and Thomas weren't together, but she didn't mind. Charlie needed her as much as she needed him, and the fact she was an hour away from docking in Liverpool brought tears to her eyes.
Happy tears, of course.
But little did she know, that while Giorgia was sipping on her champagne cruising across the Atlantic ocean, the man of her dreams was about to be beaten within an inch of his life.
After discussing costs with Linda and becoming mildly bored and agitated from her persistence, Tommy took it upon himself to kill the Priest. Now Tatiana was dead, he had no one to strategize a plan with, although deep down he knew she was a traitor. He was on his own in this one, Thomas Shelby, the stubborn and protective man he is, not wanting his family involved or hurt.
His sister was kept in London and had new police assigned to her since Hughes' threat against her, his brothers were distracted with factory business with the armored cars, Polly was with her painter and Finn and Isaiah were just doing what Finn and Isaiah would usually do.
Cause trouble.
As he awaited the arrival of the Priest, he thought back to his own son, and the danger he could have been in if Tommy had fucked up. There was no denying that after Grace passed away Thomas changed and didn't spend near as enough time with his son than he should have. After finding out what had happened to Michael and Anna in the church, it only pushed Tommy more to protect his family, especially the kids. He had a son to think about, nieces and nephews that relied on their Uncle Tommy.
Watching as the Priest walked up the path, playing with numerous young children in his care made Tommy's skin crawl. He knew what this man was capable of, but that didn't stop the nerves filling his stomach.
Thomas was a strong character who was so devious you could never tell his intentions. He could swipe you with his cap in less than a second after he had a smile on his face. He was capable of many, many dangerous things and though he knew he didn't deserve what he had, he knew he had to fight to keep it.
His family was only round the corner, the one he was going to pursue with his sweet American girl.
Yet while she docked in Liverpool, breathing the dusky air that she had somewhat missed, she had no idea that Tommy was about to be killed, and she could do nothing about it.

Giorgia had arrived in Birmingham to no Shelby's around so she took it in her best interest to go and see Ada. She thought Tommy would be out doing his business, and she wanted it to be a surprise so she decided to kill some time and go and see her future sister-in-law.
Arriving in Primrose Hill, Giorgia couldn't help but contain her excitement as she walked towards Ada's front door. She had missed the Shelby's more than she had realized and finally being able to be back in their presence was something she couldn't contain.
Knocking on the young Shelby's door, Giorgia had the biggest smile on her face and once Ada opened the door, her smile matched.
