Chap.1

Hayden's pov

Here I am, standing right in front of my new school.

Chesterland high. So many thoughts were running through my head right now that I can't even say one word.

"Hey new girl!" A girl and her friends smirked before walking away from me.

Wow not even a minute and I already don't like this school!

I don't get why I had to move anyway! like it's 5 weeks before graduation and it's stupid to just leave like that.

I move so much and my parents won't even tell me why. Plus it makes me look bad.

I walked up the steps to my new school with my bag slung over my shoulder.

I entered and I could already feel eyes burning into the back of my head.

"Hello, you must be Hayden Irwin!"A lady came out which I'm guessing is the staff room smiling at me.

I nodded and shook her hand.

"I'm your principal, mrs. lake." She smiled and walked with me.

"Oh, uh, do you mind showing me to my first class then." I asked unsure of what to do.

I've moved to so many schools and I still get confused of what to do.

"Ah, yes. I'll guide you to mrs. Yacob class. She's your home room teacher and she has everything you need. So let's get there before her class starts."She smiled widely at me and I can see red lipstick smudged on to her front teeth.

I smiled back and followed her to my home room class.

"Mrs. Yacob! I have Hayden Irwin our new student here to collect her things." Mrs. lake smiled walking into the room with me following after her.

"Hi." I waved.

"Hello and I'm guessing you already know my name so I'm just gonna get on with it." she chuckled and searched for something on her desk. "ah here it is!" she handed me a package.

"It has your classes, your locker number and combination and your planner which you probably won't be needing since there's only 5 weeks left of school but it's still important to have it with you!" she smiled and sat on the edge of her desk.

"Thank you-" I was cut off by a loud bell ringing causing me to cover my ears.

"Sorry about that! we are still getting it fixed it's not supposed to be that loud!" she rolled her eyes and sighed. "but that was your first period bell and I'll show you to your first class so you don't have to look through all that and be late so come on." she added waiting for me at the door.

I said a quick bye to the teacher and let mrs. lake guide me to my first class.

I felt a pair of eyes on me but when I looked around I saw nobody there. people are focusing on getting to their first period class.

"Here you go!"she stopped in front of my class and waited for me to get in.

"Thank you."i smiled and walked in.

Students were already sitting and some standing up and talking to their friends.

I found a seat second row to the back in the middle and sat my bag on the floor beside my feet.

"Ok. Class please find your seat so I can take attendance and start our lesson for today." A woman with glasses walked in and she looked like she just went to hell and back.

"Excuse me that's my seat!"The same girl who smirked at me outside was now standing in front of me.

"Oh, uh-"

"I'm pretty sure you can find another seat amber." A rather nice looking guy who was sitting next to me in the right row cut me off.

"No it's ok. I'll move." I began to get up but the boy told me to stop, so I sat back down.

"Fine." she huffed and walked off to find another seat.

"Sorry about her. She can be a handful sometimes." The good looking guy grinned and showed his rows of perfect white teeth. "I'm Benjamin but just call me Ben." he smiled putting his hand out so I can shake them.

"Hayden." I smiled back and shook his hand.

"Hayden." It looked like he was hard in thought. "I have a cousin named Hayden but it's a dude so."he smirked.

"Hayden can be a girl name too."

"Yea. I know. I've just never met such a pretty girl with a name like that." he smiled.

I turned my head so he doesn't see me blush, but I'm pretty sure he noticed.

"Thank you." I gave him a small smile.

"Looks like we have a new girl on the list." The teacher said looking down at what I'm guessing is the attendance sheet. "Ms. Irwin!" she said looking around trying to find me.

"Hi." I raised my hand and she saw me.

"Oh! hello. Why don't you stand up and introduce yourself to the class." She smiled and walked around her desk to sit down in her seat.

"Ok." I breathed out and stood up.

I looked over at Ben to see him giving me a reassuring smile.

"Ok. uh, my name is Hayden Irwin and I'm 17. I moved to this school because..... um I actually don't know why I moved here. My parents just needed to make a sudden move. Again. So yea." I smiled and sat back down.

"Thank you and my name is Ms. Golding." The teacher got up and wrote her name on the board. Probably so I don't forget.

"Alright! now did any of you do your homework!"

Some took papers out of their bags and some didn't.

I just sat there and watched as she went on with the lesson.

This is going to be a long day.
