Chap.3

Friday.

Hayden's pov

Right now I'm sitting on the grass with Ben eating our lunch.

Ben, Kate and I have grown close over the past few days and I feel like I can trust them.

"You have a little something" Ben said pointing to something on my face.

"Oh. where?" I asked taking a napkin from my bag.

"Right there!" He pointed to my left cheek.

I wiped on my left cheek but by his face expression I know I'm not getting it off.

"Here." He took the napkin from me and wiped the corner of my mouth.

"You should've told me it was the corner of my mouth instead of 'the left cheek'" I mocked grabbing the napkin back from him. "and you should be doing that to Kate not me."I teased.

"Well you can say thank you. A true friend wouldn't let you walk around with something on their mouth."

"Thank you." I faked smile."but seriously! you and Kate. What's up with you guys now?"

"What do you mean?" he acted like he didn't know anything and just kept eating.

"You like her don't you?!"

"No!"

"Look me straight in the eyes and tell me you don't like her then." I challenged.

"Fine."

He sat up and looked me straight in the eyes but he was quiet.

"You have beautiful eyes." he whispered.

"Thank you.You too. Now focus."

He looked at me for a couple more seconds before looking away.

"Yes! I told you!" I laughed.

"Shut up. I'm still not sure yet!" he ran his hands through his hair before looking back at me.

"Well it's ok you can figure it out tonight if you like her or not."

"Where is she anyways?" He asked

"She has a dentist appointment but she'll come to my house later that way you can pick us both up."

He nodded and looked straight past me.

"Someone can't seem to keep their eyes off you"

I looked over my shoulder to see Harry again with his phone sitting on a bench.

"Can we please go?" I asked packing away my stuff.

"Yea, sure. Is everything ok?"

"Yea it's just this week have been so strange."

"How?"

"Harry always watching me and everywhere I look he's there. That black car, and these people who walk around selling stuff always looking and smiling so weirdly at me."

"That is creepy."

"C'mon let's go!"

We walked back into the school and went to my locker.

"He's right behind us." Ben whispered.

I looked behind me to see him following us.

"Just walk faster." I whispered back.

We finally reached my locker and I opened it putting my lunch stuff in there and getting my books.

"You ok? Are you gonna tell your mom or anything?" Ben asked.
