Chap.4

Hayden's Pov

"Kate who do you keep texting?"I glanced at her from my bed.

"Someone."she quickly puts her phone down and took her notebook up.

"Spill." I smirked.

She grinned and came to sit beside me on my bed.

"Ok so you know that guy at the carnival?"

"What guy? I need more details."

"The one at the ring toss. The instructor!"

"Oh yea. I remember! What about him?"

"Well, he's the someone I'm texting."

"No way. Ew."

She rolled her eyes and gave me a look.

"I'm being honest." I defended myself.

"He is really handsome I don't know what your talking about."

"We're supposed to be doing homework." Ben said walking into my room with no face expression at all.

"We are! we're just taking a little break and I have to go now." Kate said getting up and gathering her stuff.

"I thought you were allowed to stay till 9."

"Yea my dad's taking us out for dinner because he totally forgot about us last time so he's making up for it." She came over and gave me a hug before giving a hug to Ben. "I'll see you guys tomorrow." she smiled and walked out of my room.

"See ya." Ben faintly said and sat on my bed.

"Are you ok?" I asked, seeing that he's looking a bit lost or confused, I don't know.

"Yea I'm fine." he sighed. "No I'm not." he stood up and paced across my room. "I over heard you and Kate's conversation about the carnival guy."

"Oh. It's ok! I don't think their dating."

"Yea but they have something going on."

"You don't know that. Maybe their just friends!"

"Did you see the way he looked at her at the carnival?!" He said landing face first on my bed.

"It's ok. Don't worry about it. She'll come around." I patted his back in a a way of comfort.

He turned his head and looked at me.

"I have something to tell you."Ben said sitting up.

"Is everything ok?"

"Yea."

"Ok go ahead then."

"Hayden-"

"Dinner's ready!" My mom yelled cutting of Ben.

"We'll be right down." I got up and was about to close my door until I saw the same black car through my window.

"Are you serious?!" I whispered to my self.

"Are you ok?" Ben asked standing beside me and looking through the window.

I can feel him tense right beside me as he looked very closely at the black car.

I looked back out the window to see the same person with binoculars looking right up at us.

"I wanna know who that is!" I said before running out of my room and down the stairs with Ben right behind me.

I ignored my mom's calls and opened the door.

"Stop!"Ben shouted grabbing onto my arm causing me to stop.
