Chap.21

Hayden's Pov

I woke up to the sound of loud banging coming from downstairs.

I'm literally freaking out right now.

What if it's them? The people that want to kill me.

It probably is them.

Being the stupid girl I am I opened my bedroom door at the same time harry opened his.

We gave each other puzzled looks before he walked over to me quietly with what looks like a gun in his hands.

"Harry is that fucking gun?!" I whispered shouted at him

He shushed me before grabbing my arm and taking me downstairs with him quietly.

The banging continued and I was truly scared right now.

Harry told me to go hide somewhere but I quickly ran to the kitchen and grabbed a knife before finding somewhere to hide.

I look at harry to see him looking through the small peep hole we have before letting out a sigh of relief and opening all the locks on the door.

"Harry wait! Are you crazy?! What if it's the people that want to kill me?" I asked.

"Don't worry. It's far from that." He chuckled before finally opening the door after turning off the alarm system.

"Took you guys long enough!" My mom said coming in with a lot of bags."

"Oh my god! Mom?!" I dropped the knife before running over and hugging her.

I pulled away and looked at her.

"What are you doing here?! Those people could've followed you!"

"Don't worry they didn't follow me. Momma knows what she's doing." she chuckled before hugging me again and going over to hug harry which he hugged back."I thought that I should come over and bring you guys some food and clothing! I bought some starbucks on the way here."

"Thank you!" I smiled before helping her out with the stuff.

"I drove a different car here just incase."
She said before dropping the bags and bringing the starbucks to the dining table." Ok so Venti vanilla bean with raspberry syrup for Hayden , Mango and passion fruit smoothie for harry and I just bought a bunch of bagels and fruit cups for you guys!" She said with a small smile.

We said our thank you's before she went over to the bags.

"Ok so this bag is for Hayden and this one is for harry. Kate and I went shopping for new clothes for you guys and the other bags are filled the grocery stuff." she sighed.

"Where's dad?" I asked.

"He's at home working on some things."

"Oh" I nodded.

"Harry what did I say about that gun in front of Hayden?!" She asked looking at him.

"I didn't know it was you banging on the door!" He exclaimed before drinking his smoothie. "It could've been someone else." he pointed out.

"Yea mom you scared me."

"Sorry but you guys need to be prepared for these kinds of stuff." she said getting the grocery bag and bringing them to the kitchen and unpacking the stuff.

To be honest she looks warn out.

While my mom was here she did a lot of stuff for us. She cooked for us and showed us parts of this house I never knew there was. She did our laundry which we could do ourselves but she insisted and now we're just sitting around the dining table eating spaghetti with meat balls.

"So how is it going between you two? Are you guy getting along well?"

"Yes we are. Well at first it was horrible but then I got use to him and he got use to me and now it's ok." I explained looking at harry to see him already looking at me with a smile which I returned.

It was quiet for awhile until my mom spoke up.

"Ok well there's obviously something going on between you too." She laughed.

Harry and I widened our eyes before looking at her.

"What? No! Ew." I quickly said.

"Yea. Ew." harry said looking at me before looking at my mom.

He looked kind of hurt and he just ate his food.

"Excuse me." I sighed before running up the stairs.

Harry's Pov

I could feel Lora's stare on my face and it's killing me.

"Oh c'mon harry give it up! You obviously have a thing for my daughter!" She smirked.

"No I don't-"

"Yes you do! I see the way you look at her. All day today while I was showing you guys secret hiding spots, you only looked at Hayden as if she's your entire world. that's cute." she smiled. "Especially when she was doing the dishes you offered to do it with her and you almost broke a glass plate when she was handing it to you." She continued.

"So. What if I do like her?" I asked quietly moving the meatball around in the plate.

"Honey there is nothing wrong with that. I could tell you were hurt when she immediately said "EW" but you know she doesn't mean it. Trust me. I know when my daughter has a crush."

I smiled a little at the thought of Hayden liking me back.

"But just be careful. I don't want you to get distracted on why you guys are here." She said.

"Mom are you staying the night because I was thinking you can sleep with me tonight and it's getting late and I don't want you driving this late in the dark." Hayden said coming down the stairs and joining us around the table.

"Yea, that was the plan."

Hayden smiled before looking at me then her mom. "what were you guys talking about?" She asked.

"Just how much me and your father miss you." Lora answered for me and I was thankful for that.

"I miss you guys too. I'll be home soon."
She assured.
