We Meet Again (RJS & JMB)

Chapter 6

"Nah!" I hear someone say, along with laughter.

I open my eyes and sit up to see Zach, Joey, Charles, and Chad all looking at Charles's phone.

I pull the covers off of me and get up.

"Good morning." Zach says to me, still looking at Charles phone.

I hear a voice coming from the phone and walk over to them to see who it was, it was Madds.

"Hey Jacob." She says waving.

"Uh.. good morning." I say rubbing my eyes.

I walk over to the bathroom and freshen up.

"How's tour going?" I hear Madison say.

"Good." Charles responds.

I finish up in the bathroom and get dressed, I come out and see Charles still talking to Madison.

"Where's Zach, Joey, and Chad?" I ask.

"I don't know." He answers, still looking at his phone.

I leave the room and go to the living room where Zach and Joey are, they are eating breakfast.

"Where's Chad?" I ask.

"I don't know." Zach says shrugging his shoulders.

I go and sit down at the island.

Buzz

My phone vibrates in my pocket, I take it out and see it's @l.north.

I unlock my phone and go on my dms and read what she sent me.

Rolf, I get it, your too famous for your old Virginia friends. I just thought you should know that anyone who ever said anything slightly offensive to you regrets everything. Just know, I won't ever forget you, like you probably did about me. Well I wish you a safe tour and tell Chad that he won't ever be forgotten.

Virginia friends? Who is this person and what do they mean by 'tell Chad that he won't ever be forgotten'?

I text her back with a simple hello. She quickly reads it but doesn't respond.

A few minutes pass, no response, I put my phone down and go and make some chocolate milk. I hear the door open and turn to see who it is.

"Good morning Jacob." Chad says.

"Hey Chad." I respond.

He sits down at the island and goes on his phone.

"This might sound weird but... Chad, you won't ever be forgotten." I tell him remembering the dm from @l.north.

"Umm... that's random that you said that, but thanks.. I guess." He says, sounding confused on why I just told him that out of the blue.

I grab my chocolate milk that I made and sit next to him.

"Do you remember our friends back in Virginia?" I ask him.

"Yeah, there was Maddix, Josh, Dillon, Luke, Brad, Anthony." He says naming names like he remembers those days like they were yesterday.

I try remembering how school was back than, but all I can remember was the bullies. How they had to make fun of me every single day, there was no breaks from them. They always found some new little imperfection I had and made fun of it. Now those kids must think they made a bad decision making fun of me because I turned out to be a success. Even though I was adopted, I made it through that, I'm big now. The only thing I didn't succeed at was school, I basically quit, I ran away from my problems, when I should of just faced them.

"And you were always hanging around that girl... what was her name?" Chad adds.
