~Violet's POV~

I finished my makeup but before I put on my dress, I told Luke he could go wait downstairs. He did so and I quickly changed, pulling on the short dress and then slipping my feet into my shoes. I grabbed my purse and went downstairs, hoping Luke wouldn't say anything.

But unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Luke looked over at me the second I entered and his jaw dropped, "What the fuck?" He blurted, standing up from the couch. "No, no. No!" He exclaimed, gripping my shoulders and shoving me back towards the stairs. I turned around after smacking his hands away from me, "Stop that, Luke." I frowned, and he glared down at me.

"Go change." He demanded, causing me to raise my brows in surprise. "No. You're not the boss of me, Luke, and you certainly don't control what I wear." I scoffed. He clenched his jaw, but hesitantly nodded as he turned around and walked out of my house, slamming the door. I hurried after him, locking the door. "You said you wouldn't throw a fit when you didn't get your way." I reminded him, and he sighed heavily. I went to open my door, but he reached out, placing a hand on the door and shoving it shut.

I looked up at him as he lightly gripped my arm, pressing me up against the car door as he looked at me. "I'm sorry. Just a little protective over you, that's all." He sighed.

My heart swelled and I smiled up at him, "It's okay, Luke. Nothing's going to happen to me." I assured, and he nodded. "I know. Now get in the car." He said, stepping back and allowing me to get in the car. We drove to the party, showing up to a crowded house filled with people, where I spotted Ashton, Calum, and Michael stumbling around the front yard by themselves. They were already drunk and I'd just gotten here.

When I got out, all three of them looked greatly surprised. Calum blinked and then looked over at Luke, back at me, and then back at Luke again. He then promptly burst into laughter, looking at Luke still. "Y-You suffering?" He laughed harder, and I frowned, confused. Even Michael, who was drunk, looked like he didn't know what was wrong with Cal.

Luke shot Calum and Ash the middle finger when Ash nodded, "Oh, he definitely is." He giggled.

I looked up at the house, recognizing it as Luke's, and felt a hand on my lower back. I looked down and saw Luke with his hand on my lower back, making Ashton and Calum only laugh harder. We went inside, Luke behind me as I made my way to the kitchen with his hands resting on my hips, his chest brushing against my back. He was close by, to say the least.

I entered the mostly empty kitchen, but when people spotted Luke, they scurried out of the kitchen quickly. His hands dropped away from me as he grabbed a bottle of vodka, "You didn't tell me the party was going to be at your house." I said, placing my hands on the edge of the counter and lifting myself up onto the counter.

Luke turned around, looking at me and coming to stand in front of me. "Yeah, didn't think it really mattered." He shrugged, setting the vodka onto the counter beside me. He tried to stand in between my legs, one of his hands resting on my thigh but I placed a hand on his chest, keeping him away as I shook my head.

"I'm wearing a dress." I stated, making his face light up in mock shock. "Really?!" He gasped. I rolled my eyes and he chuckled, "Trust me, I noticed that you're wearing a dress along with every other male here." He said simply. "Shut up." I blushed, embarrassed. I carefully got off of the counter, standing at my original height in from of him. "What are we going to do?" I frowned, and he shrugged.

"Let's go play the strip version of truth or dare!" Ashton cheered as he entered the room with Cal and Mikey. Instantly, I shook my head. "I don't think so." I snorted, causing him to pout. "Why not?" He whined.

"You're too...you. You'll do something." I said, and he laughed. "You're right." He agreed, nodding his head. "Let's play a game with drinking because I'm too sober for this shit." Luke cut in, and I paused before agreeing. We headed into the basement, the guys holding a bunch of vodka and five plastic cups.
