~Violet's POV~

Friday seemed to come around quickly, and I was a little nervous about the party, honestly. I wasn't one for parties. I much preferred to stay home and watch Netflix while I stuffed my face.

Now, I was sat at lunch with everyone, Luke on his phone as he always was whenever I came around. He didn't like me much, for whatever reason. Ash and Cal were currently arguing over which of them would get the last slice of pizza, since Mikey had bought three pizzas from Pizza Hut.

"You had four slices!" Calum exclaimed, and Ashton glanced at Luke, "Well...Well, Luke had four, too!" He scoffed. Michael stared at the two, unamused. "He's not the one trying to steal the last slice!" Cal shot back.

I grabbed the last slice, instantly catching Ashton's attention.

He gasped, his eyes widening as I took a bite. "Did you just.." He exclaimed, his eyes darting from the now empty box to the pizza in my hand. I shook my head. "No." I denied, taking another bite. Calum and Ash both huffed, pouting in their seats. I finished the slice and turned to Mikey, clearing my throat.

"So," I frowned, "What should I even wear for the party?" I asked, unsure. Michael looked over at me. "Whatever you feel like." He said, sending me a smile. I nodded, pushing my hair behind my ear. "Luke's gonna pick you up, by the way." Michael said, bringing my attention to him.

My heart dropped a little, "Why?" I cocked my head, and Luke glared at Michael. "He's closest to your house." Ashton cut in. I bit my cheek, but nodded. "Oh, okay." I said quietly. Calum was still pouting in his seat a bit, but then he smiled at me. "He'll be there at nine." He said. Luke still didn't comment, obviously unhappy about the arrangements his friends had made.

When school ended, Mikey drove me home and then left, shouting a 'see you later' from his car as he drove off. I entered my house and ran upstairs, throwing my backpack on my bed as I looked through my closet for a dress and shoes.

I quickly realized the only dress I had was one that Lexa bought me, probably in hopes that something like this would happen eventually. It was a pretty simple strappy black dress that'd probably come to a little above mid-thigh with a plunge neckline. Luckily, it didn't plunge low enough for me to be uncomfortable.

I quickly took a shower, being sure to bring new undergarments in the bathroom to put on. When I finished, I got out and wrapped my hair up in a towel, drying myself with a different towel before I slipped on my bra and underwear. I hated blow drying my hair, so while I waited for my hair to dry, I slipped on a pair of sweats and a tank top, grabbing my brush as I pulled the towel off my hair.

I quickly brushed my hair and it began drying much faster. When it wasn't dripping anymore, I found my makeup and began applying it on my bed while watching Supernatural. I kept getting so distracted that I checked my phone and saw that Luke would be here in less than twenty minutes and I hadn't even finished my makeup yet. I also was still in my sweats.

I finished the rest of my makeup, what I'd usually put on if I felt like putting the effort in- foundation, concealer, my brows, a little blush on my cheeks and on the tip of my nose, bronzer, winged linger, mascara, and highlighter in the corner of my eyes and tip of my nose.

It usually didn't take me too long if I was focusing, but I kept getting distracted.

I swiped on my mascara and heard a knock on the front door, rather aggressively. I paused Supernatural and Luke began banging his fist on the door again, so I jumped out of bed and raced downstairs. "I'm coming!" I yelled angrily. I flung open the door, and Luke reeled back a little, surprised.

"Violet?" He asked, and I raised a brow. "My face is still my face, you know. I don't look that different." I scoffed. He rolled his eyes, "Whatever. Let's go." He muttered, turning around. I quickly grabbed his shoulder, turning him to face me. "I-I'm not done yet." I said.
