Antonio could barely focus, his mind was foggy and elsewhere even as his tutor droned on.
"Snap out of it you bastard! We need to study and we're getting nowhere with your dumb face staring off into nothing!" Growled a heavy accent.
He smiled as he looked over at his childhood friend, his bright green eyes scanning the grimace of the boy beside him.
Antonio had known Romano as long as he could remember and he only seemed to get more and more stubborn as the years passed- although he certainly didn't mind it at this point.
"What are you looking at me like that for, got a problem with my face-?" Romano cursed, his dark green eyes glaring daggers at him.
"Nothing nothing" he chuckled, focusing his eyes back onto his paper and quickly jotting down his notes.
---
"How'd the test go?" Romano asked, his thick Italian accent adding an extra flare of sass to his already sarcastic tone.Toni gulped, avoiding meeting the smaller males eyes, "Err....good?"
"Don't make me rip the paper out of yours hands you bastard, now what'd you get?"
Antonio sighed and passed Romano his graded test results.
"I-it's not the best score but it's certainly better than last times-" Antonio started, flushing in embarrassment, Romano had worked so hard to tutor him and it felt like he'd only wasted his time.
"Shut your Spanish speaking mouth for five seconds so I can think,"... a C+?" he muttered, eyes scanning the page.
Antonio flushed a shade darker his eyes fleeing to the floor, "I told you it wasnt the best grade but, I tried..." as his eyes looked up back to Romano's face he was shocked to see Romano's enchanting green eyes flicker with a beam of what seemed to be pride, a soft smile resting upon his lips.
A small but genuine expression that seemed to light up his entire face, Antonio felt his heart skip a
"At least tutoring you wasn't a complete waste of time after all you bastard, that's loads better than last time, but don't get too cocky you prick, there's still alot of work to do if you want to get that B."
Romano began to ramble on about their next tutoring session before complaining about who knows what, Toni couldn't focus though, his head swimming with the memory of that smile and he found himself walking a little closer to Roma as they made their way down the school halls.
