It's your fault. You know that right? You're the reason they're dead. You're the reason she's in debt. You're the reason he's dead.Antonio shivered, his breathing ragged and choppy as the same thoughts fluttered through his mind.
"It is my fault isn't it....?" He whispered, his hands trembling at his own words.
He sighed and looked at the sleeping male beside him before slipping out of the bedsheets and making his way into the bathroom. He set the shower as hot as it could go and stepped inside, trying to wash the urge away. He had been doing so well.
I can't leave him behind like that. Stay strong Antonio.

Opening his eyes puffy eyes was the hard part. The bathroom door had muffled his cries thankfully and from the looks of the window outside it was still early morning.
He carried on with his morning routine, ignoring the concerned glances of his older cousin and Lovino. Each of them could tell something was off but neither could pinpoint exactly what it was. It'd gotten easier to fake a smile for Toni throughout the past few years since his parents had passed away. Who knew he'd be using the same smile in his daily life.
I don't want to do this anymore.
I want a fresh start.
Antonio looked out behind him, the simple house with a faded coat of a now dull yellow covering it's wooden shingles. Would he miss it? There was a way. It scared him, but still, it was a way out, and a very simple one at that.
