---sometime months later----
"And...Mr Carriedo, do you remember why you felt the need to keep this from Lovino?" the man sitting across from Antonio clicked his pen a few times before looking up from his clipboard again. There was a moment of silence between the two before Toni shook his head and let out a small laugh and met the mans eyes, "If we're going to be honest I don't even think you'd take me seriously if I told you...it's stupid and cliche"
"Maybe that's okay, sometimes life is just stupid and cliche like a badly written fanfiction," he added, turning his head slightly to some unknown spectator and grinning a bit, "besides, it dosen't matter if it's stupid to you, it's what you felt at the time, you've come a long way since our first meeting Mr Carriedo".
"In that case...I, I guess I was afraid.."
"Were you just afraid of telling him in general? Or was there a specific reason do you think?"
The man across from Toni stayed quiet, hoping the silence would soon be filled by an answer, he didn't want to rush anything and he would wait as long as he had until Antonio was ready to talk.
Antonio fiddled with the buttons on his shirt, staring down at his shoes, "I was afraid I'd get left behind again..."
"Again?", Toni nodded. He was finally ready to talk about his past to somebody.
