Walking home Lovino stumbled into the familiar ox of a man named Ludwig. He was alone which was a rare sight these days as Feliciano was almost always at his side.

"What did you do to Feli?" He spoke, more of a statement rather than a question.

Said German sighed and slowed his pace to match with Romanos, "he had some business to take care of".

Ludwig noticed the strange silence from Romano, it made him uncomfortable as normally he'd be getting yelled at.

"Is everything alright Lovino?" He asked, a bead of sweat on his forehead becoming visible.

"None of your fucking business you fratello fucking bastard!"

Ludwig's pale cheeks flushed,  the tips of his ears burning a bright red.

"Ve've...ve've never-", he started before being interrupted.

"Can it, I'm not deaf you bastardo I can hear quite well!"

Ludwig's face grew into a deeper shade of red, his eyes quickly averting to the sidewalk beneath his feet. He hadn't expected Lovino to open up to him since they were never very close, however it was apparent he was on edge today. It would be safer to change the topic as Romano didn't seem like he'd open up any time soon.

"So..."

Lovino paid no mind to his attempts of striking up a conversation and quickened his pace. They came to a cross road and Ludwig came to a halt as a car drove past, Lovino however kept walking, his dull eyes not even showing an ounce of fear as the car sped towards him.

Rather than move out of the cars path he stopped and faced the car as it quickly neared the small man. The driver was too busy arguing with the passenger to pay much attention to the road. After that everything seemed to happen at once.

Ludwig lunged forward in an attempt to pull Lovino out of the street, the passenger shrieked and pointed at him. This finally caught the drivers attention and his eyes widened like a deer caught in the head lights. Romano suddenly came out of his trance like state and trembled as his body braced for the impact of the car.
