Antonio adjusted his sun hat, turning and giving a squinty smile to Romano who walked along not too far behind him, the sun shining in golden rays that made the shorter boys eyes glimmer like jewels.

Romano jogged to catch up to Toni, lacing his fingers through his and managing to keep pace with him this time, they rested their foreheads against one anothers, both smiling contentedly...
~~~
"Yo Toni? Antonio! Helloooo anybody in zhere? " a voice called, scratchy and loud.
Snapping out of his fantasties Antonio flushed as he looked at his friends, all staring at him, "Huh?... what were we talking about again?" He stuttered out, running a hand through his hair.
Gilbert sighed, clearly irritated by his friends lack of indulgence in the conversation. Turning to the third member of their party, Francis, and whispering something into his ear. Francis choked back a laugh, covering his mouth as to not make it nearly as obvious. His eyes flicked between Gilbert and Antonio, the amusement clear as day on his face now. He gave an apologetic smile to Antonio as Francis proceeded to tie back his own hair into a low ponytail, two platinum blonde strands falling into his face and framing it perfectly.
Gilbert grinned, red eyes glowing with mischief as he looked to Antonio, who now had a bewildered expression on his face as he stared at his two friends.
"What's all this giggling about -? You sound like a gaggle of boy crazed school girls," a fourth voice chimed in, the trio of boys turned, facing the girl behind them. Her head was tilted, wavy, long caramel hair brushing over her shoulders at the gesture.
Gilbert grinned once more, this time at Elizabeth.
"Oh Toni here was just telling us about his lil' crush on a certain Italian~" Francis chimed, wrapping an arm around Antonio's shoulders in a playful manner.
"How did you-? Gilbert-" Toni pushes Francis off of him, his friendly and dense tone overcome with a frustrated growl.
Francis chuckled, his infamous laugh turning the heads of some passerbys "Ohonhon~, leave Gilbert alone he didn't need say anyone's name, but you still thought of him oui-? Besides, it is no secret that you are..." Francis considered his words carefully before holding a limp wrist in front of him, offering the rest of the group a smug smile, to which they all nodded in confirmation.
With a face as bright as a ripe tomato Antonio shuffled away awkwardly to his first period, his friends following slowly behind him.
---
Just as he reached his first period he stopped in the door way of the class, sighing softly at the sight of the boy with the dark green eyes as he conversed with two girls that Antonio didn't know the names of, he looked oddly invested in the mindless chatter before him. His heart panged with a familiar ache.
Elizabeth rested a sympathetic hand on Toni's shoulder, she said nothing and neither did Antonio, instead he walked off  to his desk knowingly .
---
The class dragged on for what seemed like hours. Most students had fallen asleep or stopped paying attention at this point in.
Francis sat behind Gilbert, braiding what little silver hair he was able to braid as Francis' hair was braided by none other than Elizabeth who also sat in the seat to the left of Toni. Gilbert was seemingly asleep and drooling on his textbook while all of this happend behind him.
