She stumbled back, clutching her arm. "You?" Liana poured all her hate and anger into the word, so it was dripping with venom off her tongue. "You're the traitor?"

"Of course you're surprised," Allie mused. "Sweet, innocent little Allie would never be a traitor!"

Liana swept her hand, trying to knock Allie's gun away, but she saw it coming. "SEAM offered me something I couldn't resist! Instead of dying alone in pointless resistance, I could join their ranks! I could have a proper room, good food, money, everything! Things you could never give me!"

"You're going to murder a thousand innocent people just so you can have good food? You're a monster," Liana spat.

"Don't act so innocent, Liana! You've killed pointlessly before, but I'm killing for a cause!" Allie flicked her wrist, and a bright flash obscured Liana's vision. She crumbled, clutching her head.

"Maybe you're the monster," Allie taunted as she kicked Liana's ribs. Liana caught her foot midair, twisting it and slamming her into the ground.

"You evil little-" Liana lifted Allie above the fray, suspending her in the air. "Traitor!"

Gunshots rang out, and Liana flinched, dropping Allie. She kicked a gun out of an officer's hand and ran over to the commotion.

Jerik was pressed to the ground beside Taylor, a gun to his head, while others were held back, trying to fight their way towards them.

"There's the witch!" an officer cried out, and more surged towards her.

Her knives were at the ready, soaring at guns and flailing limbs. She thrust her way towards the middle, but suddenly her vision went dark.

Allie's voice rang in her head as she blindly fought the officers, trying to push away the Light Shifter's darkness. "The Blueblood Armada will fall!" Allie cried.

Liana screamed, loud and ear- splitting, clearing her vision and forcing anyone near her to go flying. Her eyes sparked, pushing officers away and snapping their guns. Allie crept by where Taylor and Jerik were trapped and grabbed onto their wrists harshly, digging her nails into the inked crescent moon. The other officers all connected, and one raised a metal contraption over his head.

A teleporter.

"NO!" Liana cried, but it was too late, and Allie's smirk had already been swept away.

Scattered bodies of Officers and Bluebloods littered the beach, but Allie, Jerik, and Taylor were gone. She felt the weight of the battle on her shoulders, and began to feel lightheaded as Iris rushed over, tears blurring her green- blue eyes. "No, Liana... stay awake."

But darkness filled her vision, and she gave in to the lull of sleep.
