Lloyd's Point of View~
Kai was rushed through the Emergency Room and right into the Operation Room. The rest stayed in the waiting lounge. Nya and Jay took Zane back to the Samurai X cave to try and get him back online. So I was left with Cole. I could feel tears drop onto my lap. "I can't believe I did that," I whispered. "Did what, Lloyd?" Cole asked. I popped out of my thoughts and looked at him. "I...I couldn't do anything to save him. I just stood there like a fool, watching him suffer, and then fall." I said as I lowered my head in shame. "Don't let that break you, Lloyd, and I don't think that Kai would've wanted you to get hurt. And plus, we all make mistakes and we all can't stop being afraid of something when we're terrified." Cole said as he patted my back, trying to make me feel better. "Well, that was my greatest mistake ever," I said as I let out a sigh. Soon, the doctor came out of the room and walked towards us. Her name was Dr. Soma. Me and Cole got up and quickly went to her. "Is Kai okay?!" I frantically asked Soma. "Yes, I also have some good and bad news about your friend," Soma said. "What's the good news, doctor?" Cole asked. "The good news is that Kai is alive and it's a miracle that he is. After that, I didn't think that anyone could survive." Soma said. "But, what's the bad news?" I asked. Soma sighed and responded, "The bad news is that Kai is in a coma and is having difficulties breathing properly. We don't know when, or even he will wake up." I gasped, and I felt my heart sink. "Kai's in a coma?!" Cole shouted. She nodded her head slowly. "And, he...he could...die?" I asked, trying to hold back my tears. "I'm afraid so," Soma said with a sorry look on her face. I couldn't hold it in any longer, and the tears slipped out of my eyes as my breathing was very shakily. "I'm very sorry, but we will do everything we can to help Kai," Soma said as she placed her hand on my shoulder.

Narration~
Because visiting hours were up, Lloyd and Cole had to leave Kai behind and deliver the terrible news to Jay and Nya.

Lloyd's Point of View~
When we got back to the monastery, Jay and Nya were already back, along with Sensei. "Is Kai okay?" Nya asked in a worried voice. I looked down and slowly gulped. "Kai's...in a coma...and the doctor said that...they're not sure if he'll wake up." I confessed, trying to hold back more tears. Nya gasped and said, "Kai's in a coma?! And...and he could...die?" Tears escaped from my eyes and landed on the floor and I nodded slowly. Nya began to cry, and Jay wrapped his arms around her and embraced her with a tight and long, soothing hug. "I'm so sorry, Kai." I said under my breath. Soon, we all went into our rooms, shutting our doors. It was really late at night, but I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about Kai, and how he saved my life again. And I never returned the favor. "I'm so sorry, Kai, I'm so sorry. I couldn't save you." I said quietly to myself. It's my fault, it's all my fault. If I only had the same courage as you, Kai, you most likely wouldn't have ended up like this. I'm sorry. I thought. I got up and decided to go to the bathroom to wash my face. I looked straight at the mirror, and right into my own eyes. I saw a bit a redness in them and I knew that was because of all the tears I've been shedding. But, that redness in my eyes only reminded me of Kai, and how we once gazed into each other's eyes. I washed my face and went back towards my room. On the way back, I glanced at Kai's closed door. I walked over to it and placed my hand on it. "I'm so sorry, Kai." I said softly before leaving and going back into my room. I laid back in bed and managed to fall asleep. But, my dream turned into a nightmare. In my dream,  I was in the hospital,  specifically, Kai's room. I could see him lying there, with an oxygen mask on and an IV was standing next to his bed. His eyes were closed. I tried to walk over to him, but there was a sudden force holding me back. That force grew stronger, pinning me to the wall. All I could now was watch as Kai layed there. My body was overwhelmed with many mixed emotions. Suddenly, Kai began to uncontrollably shake and the heart monitor began to beep like crazy. I panicked and tried screaming for help, but there was no one coming. I was forced to watch Kai as he had another seizure. Then, a shadow formed in the dark corner of the room, and slowly crept it's way towards Kai's bed. As it moved, the shadow grew and began to take the form of what appeared to be a human.  When the shadow took a complete form, it appeared as the same girl from the mall, that witch. My eyes widened, I was filled with anger, and I yelled, "You leave him alone! You're a monster! It's your fault that Kai's here!" She still had those blood-red eyes and that sickening smile. She only smiled, revealing her razor-sharp teeth. Kai was still twitching, and I continued to scream for her to leave us alone. I could begin to feel tears escape from the corners of my eyes. She then slowly placed her hand on Kai's oxygen mask and slightly clutched to it. "Don't you dare! You'll kill him!" I shouted. She only laughed a demonic laugh before ripping the mask right off his face. "No!!" I screamed. That force that held me back had loosened up and I dropped to my knees. Seconds later, I heard a flatline echo throughout the room. I looked up at the heart monitor and saw that it had a straight line piercing right through it. I sobbed uncontrollably, Kai had died right before me. And I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I immediately shot up from my pillow and was panting. I looked down at my pillow and saw slight stains on it. I gently touched them, feeling they were wet. I guess I was crying in my sleep. I thought as I got up from my bed and went into the living room. I was the only one who was awake, so I decided to make myself a bowl of cereal. Once I had my bowl and phone, I sat down on the couch. I was trying to calm down about what happened to Kai. I scrolled through the different videos until I found one that caught my eye. "'The Legend of Victor and Dima'? Wonder what this is about." I said quietly to myself. I pressed on the video and it played. There were pictures of people and things fading in and out as captions narrated the story. As I read, I found out that this story took place thousands of years ago, when there were gods, demigods, and humans that all lived together in peace. There was a demigod named 'Victor', and he was one of the children of the ocean god, Posiden. I was really surprised by the fact that Victor had more affection towards males than females. While he was down in the village, he ran into another male named 'Dima'. And another thing, Dima also had the same kind of affection as Victor. Huh! Intriguing. I thought as I continued to read. As I read, I learned that Victor and Dima had a special bond together and it grew as they spent more and more time together. But, another demigod came into the story. Ares, the son of Hades, god of the Underworld. Ares was the demigod of hatred and war. When he found out about Victor and Dima's relationship, he was fuming with anger. Ares believed that the gods, goddesses, and demigods should have control over the people. He thought that Victor was a disgrace and a bad image of gods and demigods. Ares was so angry that he lured Dima deep into the forest. Then, he cast thousands of arrows upon him, killing Dima. Later, Victor went searching for Dima, but by the time he'd found him, it was too late. Victor prayed and prayed for the higher ranking gods to bring Dima's spirit back. And after five days, a miracle happened. Victor's love for Dima had brought him back to life, and they lived together, happy. It's said that sometimes, their love is shown through any other couple's love. They proved that love is more powerful than death. The video ended and I began to thought. I wonder if their love is shown in me and Kai's relationship. I thought to myself. "Nah, I doubt it. We've only been together for like, a day. I don't know if our relationship is the same as theirs." I said. Then, I heard footsteps and the wooden floor creak. I quickly turned my head around, only to see Sensei Wu standing there with his staff in his hand. I sighed in relief and said, "Good morning, Sensei. I didn't know that you were awake." He only stood there, taking a sip of his tea before responding with, "Good morning, Lloyd. Isn't it a bit early to be up, especially for you? I thought you'd sleep in before morning training." He came over to me and sat down on the couch. "I couldn't sleep, so I came into the living room and made myself some breakfast." I said. "Are you still worried about Kai?" Wu asked. I slightly gripped onto my wrist and my eyes were extremely focused on the floor. "I guess I'll take that as a 'yes'." Sensei said. "I am! And how can you not be?!  One of your pupils is in the hospital in a coma, with a possible chance of dying! It's all I think about." I said as my voice broke a bit, trying to hold back my sorrow. "I know you're worried, Lloyd, but you can't let it cloud your mind. It's not good for you." Sensei said. "How can you not be worried?" I asked. "I am, but I meditate, to remain calm. Maybe if you tried meditating, you can relax and you won't be so stressed." Wu said. Meditation wasn't really something I did. "Or maybe you try and find something else that you'd like to relax. Like maybe listening to music, drawing or anything else you'd prefer, Lloyd." Wu said. "Thank you, Sensei. I'll keep those suggestions in mind." I said as I got up and began to walk back to my room. "You're welcome, Lloyd. And if you need anything else to ask, you can come to me or any of the others." Wu said. I walked down the hall, and into my room and sat at my desk. I looked at the clock on my dresser and saw that it was 9:45. I stared back at my phone for a moment before an idea popped into my head. Music huh? I thought. I grabbed my phone and headphones and flipped through the different songs I had on my playlist until I found the one I wanted. I pressed on the song and put on my headphones. It sounded like an orchestra playing an angelic melody in Heaven. I closed my eyes, imagining a world where wishes could come true. I sighed and smiled. If there actually was a world where wishes could come true, I'd wish that Kai was here with us, with me, and that that witch never existed. I thought. I had been listening to the same song for about half an hour because when I checked the clock again, it was 10:15. I shot up from my desk and gasped. "Oh jeez! I'm late for morning training!" I said as I quickly put on my uniform and ran out to the training course. When I arrived there, I saw Cole, Nya, and Jay already practicing their combat and powers. "It's about time you showed up, Lloyd. What took you?" Cole said. "I...um...I lost track of time when I went to my room." I said nervously as I rubbed the back of my neck. "Well, you're here now. C'mon, let's do this." Said Jay as he handed me a sword. Then, we began to fight. After a while, I managed to beat Jay and Cole, but Nya was a bit more of a challenge. She kept her focus and was very stern on her moves. Soon, I was able to catch her by surprise and swatted her sword out of her hands and grabbed it, leaving her unarmed. "Wow, you have gotten a lot stronger, Lloyd. Good fight." Nya said. "Thanks." I responded. The next fight was Nya against Jay. Cole and I sat down on the porch and watched them battle. We chatted about who'd win before I sighed and looked down. "You okay, Lloyd? You look a bit down." Asked Cole. "I'm still worried about Kai, but not as much as before." I said. "Oh, yeah, that's been on my mind, along with Zane being offline, we're down two ninja." Cole said as he rubbed his forehead. "Let's hope that there aren't any threats for the time being." I said.

Narration~
About a couple of hours passed by and morning training was over. The remaining ninja was allowed a break until 3:30, which was afternoon training. They had three and a half hours before that time, so everyone went off to take care of some business. Jay and Nya went back to the Samurai X cave to try and get Zane back online, Cole went over to go see his father and the other Royal Blacksmiths to help practice for their next upcoming performance, and Lloyd had decided to go and visit Kai at the hospital.

Lloyd's Point of View~
Before going to the hospital, I had to grab a couple of things. I went to my room and grabbed my phone, headphones, and I went to Kai's room and grabbed a book that he liked. The book was called, 'The Children of the Wolf'. I'd never heard of it, but looking at the cover got me interested in it. I quickly read the back and it read, "If you had to decide, what would you choose? To be people? Or wolves? A single mother, Leah had two twins, Coco, the boy and Momo, the girl. Coco was a very energetic child and Momo was very shy and frail. These two may seem like ordinary kids, but they live with an incredible secret. Join the family of three on their journeys through life and see what decision Coco and Momo will make once it's their time." I finished reading and hurried to the gateway of the monastery. "See you, Sensei! I'm heading out!" I called back. "Alright, Lloyd, but be back by 3:30. Be safe." He said back to me. I waved back at him and summoned my elemental dragon and took off to the hospital. When I got there, I was a bit anxious. I took a deep breath and walked inside. I waited in line at the front desk. When it was my turn, the woman at the desk asked, "Name, please?" I responded quickly with, "Lloyd Garmadon." She wrote down some things, presumably the registration slips so I'd be able to get in. "Name of the patient or patients you'll be visiting please?" She asked. "Kai Smith." I said. She continued to write things down. "Okay, you're all set. Smith's room on the second floor, room 56. It'll be on your right." She said as she handed slips of paper. "Thank you, but wait, what's this paper mean?" I said as I looked at another sheet. "Oh, these are for you to fill out. You need to fill out your time in, how long you stayed, and you're time out. And if there were any complications, you also write them down." The woman said. "Okay, thank you." I said as I went to the elevator. "You're welcome." She said. I went inside the elevator and pressed the second button. The doors closed and I could feel it going up. The doors opened again and I stepped out of the elevator. I walked down the hall until I reached Room 56, Kai's room. I felt a small lump in my throat and a knot in my stomach. I took a deep breath and slowly opened the door. To my surprise, I saw Dr. Soma and a nurse giving Kai an injection. "Oh, um, sorry. I-I didn't mean to...I didn't know anyone was..." I stammered, trying to get the words out of my mouth. The nurse came over to me and pulled up a chair for me to sit on. I sat down, placing my things on a small table next to me. "It's alright, Lloyd." Soma said, smiling. I glanced at Kai and saw that he looked the same as he did in that nightmare I had. "Why were you giving him a shot?" I asked. "It's to try and lower the chance of him having any more seizures." She said. "When you said, 'lower the chance', do you mean that there is a likelihood that he could still have a seizure at any given time?" I asked. "Unfortunately, yes, but this vaccine should increase the chance of him not having a seizure." Soma explained. Soon, she left the room, leaving me and Kai alone. "Hey, Kai, it's me, Lloyd. I know that you can't hear me, but I wanted to say that I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't do anything to save you, Kai. I miss you a lot." I said as I held his lifeless hand. It felt cold, but I didn't mind. I played some music and read the first three chapters of 'The Children of the Wolf' until it almost 3:30. I placed a bookmark on the page I was on and filled out the sheet. "I've gotta go soon, but I promise I'll come back soon." I said as I was beginning to leave. But before I left, I gave Kai a small kiss on his forehead. I went down to the first floor and handed the paper to the woman, and summoned my elemental dragon and flew back home. I got back and saw that Cole was back and already training. "Hey, Cole. How was the visit with your father?" I asked as I put down my stuff. "It was good. Where have you been?" Cole replied. "I was at the hospital to visit with Kai." I said. "Nice." Cole said. Soon, Jay and Nya came back and Cole asked, "How's Zane?" They got off their dragons and Nya said, "He's still out." It was silent for a moment. "We'll have to take him to Cyrus Borg or figure out another way to fix him." Jay added. "Now that you're all here, you can begin your afternoon training." Sensei said as he walked outside. "Yes, Sensei." We all said as we bowed. Then, we began our afternoon training ritual.
