Chapter Six: Strange Things

Kai's Point of View~
I was sitting on the couch with my arm wrapped around Lloyd, him resting his head on my shoulder. Zane had selected Superman and Jay had selected Shazam. After a while, Jay lost and passed the controller to Cole. Zane had selected Superman again and Cole chose Joker. In the back of my head, I noticed a few similarities between Joker and Mr. J from my nightmare. They both had green hair, pale-white skin, creepy smiles, and a knife in their hands. I brushed that thought aside and continued to have a good time. Jay kept on making bad puns about Joker and Superman. "Woah! Superman, it's very 'knife' of you to 'stab' by!" Jay said. Everyone groaned as Jay laughed. Soon, Cole eventually lost and passed the controller over to me. "How come your favorite character is Shazam and your least is Joker, Jay? I mean you both have some things in common like being annoying at sometimes, and you both tell bad jokes?" Cole asked. "Because, he's nothing but a stick, no muscle at all, and he's just creepy, and for your information, I tell better jokes than he does," Jay argued. "I wonder where he keeps all those props like that pie, crowbar, laughing gas, and heck the bazooka." Said Lloyd. "He probably gets him out from under sleeves like magicians do," I said as I still decided on my player. "Hurry up Kai, you're taking forever." Said Jay. "Okay, okay, jeez. I will." I said. Finally, I chose Deathstroke. The match began and as we fought, I also saw similarities between Deathstroke and Sniper. After an extremely tough fight, I soon won and Zane gave the controller to Nya. My sister chose Harley Quinn, who looked and sounded like Diamond. " Ooh, brother versus sisters match, that'll be good. Who'd win?  Kai or Nya?" Said Jay. "C'mon Jay, quit talking like you're a sports announcer. We all know that Nya is going to win with Harley Quinn." Cole said. "Hey!" I said. Nya laughed at my complaint. "Okay sis, let's see who's going to win. To show that you won't beat me." I said. "Okay." She said. As we were battling, Nya was ahead and soon brought me to defeat. "C'mon! I can beat Zane, but I can't beat my own sister?!" I shouted as I handed the controller to Lloyd. But, as soon as I passed it up, my head began to hurt. It's strange but, I kept on getting headaches a lot since I had that nightmare. I put my hand on my forehead and went into the kitchen. I grabbed a glass of water and sat down at the table, and took a sip of water. I laid my head down and groaned a bit before closing my eyes.

Lloyd's Point of View~
Kai gave me the controller, but he seemed to be in pain. He placed his hand on his forehead and went into the kitchen. Everyone else didn't seem to notice. I heard the faucet running and wood creaking. I gave the controller to Sensei and went to the kitchen. I saw Kai laying his head down on the table and a glass of water next to him. I sat down next to him and asked, "Kai? Are you okay?" I put my hand on his shoulder. His head immediately shot up with a gasp. "Oh, Lloyd, it's just you." He said. "Are you alright? You seemed in pain." I asked. Kai rubbed his eyes and head and responded with, "Yeah, I'm fine. I just have a headache. That's all." I was concerned and grabbed his hand. "Are you sure you're okay? I mean, if you have a headache, you should get some rest and relax." I told Kai. "Nah, I'll be okay. Don't worry, Lloyd." Kai said as he kissed my forehead. I smiled a bit, but I was still worried about Kai. "Okay, but if you feel worse, you should get some rest," I said. "Okay, Greenie," Kai said. I stayed with Kai for a bit before the others called my name to play next. "You coming, Kai?" I asked. "Uh, sure. I'll come." He replied. Both of us went back into the living room and I played against Wu.

Narration~
As the game night continued, Kai's headache didn't seem to be getting any better. Lloyd told Kai to go and get some rest, and he did. But on the way, Kai fainted, resulting in the others to bring him to his room. Lloyd stayed behind, and fell asleep soon after. Kai woke up in the middle of the night and brought Lloyd into bed with him. The next morning in training, something completely different happened.

Lloyd's Point of View~
We were beginning our morning training and the first to fight was me and Zane. I had my sword and Zane had his shurikens. The fight began and Zane threw one of his shurikens, catching me off guard. He used this opportunity to charge at me and attack. Zane used combat moves, and I blocked some of them. The shuriken that he threw, came back and was caught by Zane. I swung my sword and our weapons collided. Both of us continued to fight for about three minutes, but then I was brought down by him. He had knocked my sword out of my hands and left me unarmed. "Good fight, Lloyd, and I do have to admit, you've got a lot stronger and was more strategized." Said Zane, putting his hand out to shake. I shook his hand and said, "Thanks, and it was a good fight." We both go and sat down on the porch, and I took a sip of my water. "So, who's up next?" Jay asked. "How about Nya and Kai?" Cole said. Kai and Nya agreed and grabbed their weapons. The siblings began to fight as we watched. A couple of minutes passed by, and neither Kai or Nya had given up yet.
