Chapter 13:Please Be Mine

Blade's POV

When Demetri told us that Skylar was dancing with Erick, my blood boiled and I stormed into the gym. I quickly spotted Skylar dancing with HIM and I could feel myself die a little. My eyes locked with Sky for a second before she quickly returned to look at her dancing partner. Ive never felt so strongly for someone. Skylar makes me fell alive and like I can do anything I want. This is so wrong, shes my little sister's best friend for crying out loud! But loving her feels so right and effortless.

I couldn't keep my eyes off of Skylar. She looked stunning, but then again she always did. Even when she rejected me...

*Flashback*

I felt numb, I was completely in love with Skylar and she just rejected to being my girlfriend. After the numbness left my body all I felt was anger and hurt. Did she not feel anything when I kissed her?! If she doesn't like me then why the hell did she kiss me back?! Why are girls so damn confusing?!

I went back home, angry tears stinging my eyes. Now I knew how Dawn felt, well kinda how she felt; Loving someone who seemed like they will never love you back...yeah it sucks bad. I got home, checked up on Dawn, then went my room and fell asleep tired, angry, but most of all heart-broken.

~One Week Later~

There was a knock on the door. Dawn was out with Demetri since he was the only one she would hang out with. I was thankful that Demetri was looking after my sister. I figured Dawn forgot her key and it was her knocking on the door.

"Did you forget your keys-oh...hi" my tone wnt from teasing to serious when I saw who was at the door.

"Can we talk Blade, please," Skylar asked timidly.

"I guess," I said monotone. I closed the door and sat down on the porch steps.

"Blade...look I'm sorry about the other day. You really took me by surprise and I didn't know how react."

"So what? your saying if I wouldn't have surprised you would have accepted to be my girlfriend," I asked building in my voice.

"No Blade," she whispered. And what little hope I had vanished.

"Then why are you here Skylar? Did you just come here to tell me I'm a sick a sick bastard for liking my sisiter's best friend?"

"You don't understand Blade," Sky said.

"Oh I think I do. You just played me. you didn't even stop me from kissing you! You just led me on!" I yelled at her. Tears were running down her face. I felt guilty, but I was more hurt.

"Blade please let me explain," she begged.

"No! Your heartless Skylar that's what you are," I continued to yell.

This seemed to piss her off because she got up all in my face.

"And your a dick,Ive met heartless people before and Im not," she spat. She gave me one more look and left. I went inside my house slammed the door and punched the wall. Dammit!

*End of Flashback*

I rubbed my knuckles remembering how much it hurt like a bitch.

Skylar hugged Erick and kissed his cheek. I felt like punching a wall again...or even a face. Skylar walked out of the dance with a relaxed grin on her face.

"Are you just going to stand here and stare after her or go stand here?" I looked to see it was Dawn who spoke.

"How did you find out I like her," I asked her.

"I saw the way you were looking at her," she told me. "The real question is do you like her or love her?"

"I love her," I heard myself say.

"Then go after her you big idiot," she grinned. I grinned, hugged her quietly quickly, then ran after Skylar. I saw her sitting on a bench. She was staring at the moon. I sat next to her and stayed quiet.

"I had a boyfriend when I was 13," Skylar said quietly, "he was perfect, at least in my eyes. He asked me out with the exact same words you told me. I thought I was in love with him and I guess I was, but after a few months of going out I caught him cheating on me." She turned to look at me. "When you asked me out all those memories hit me like a ton of bricks and I got scared."

"You felt I might hurt you one day like your ex," I whispered. She nodded sadly. I grabbed her hand, "Skylar I would never hurt you. Im not that asshole who was stupid enough to cheat on you."

"I know I just wished Id realized that before I hurt you," she whispered.

"That doesn't matter...Skylar I asked you this once, but I left out something important. Skylar, I love you, so will you please be my girlfriend?"

"I love you too Blade," Skylar said before leaning in and kissing me. I kissed her back eagerly. She was mine.

"Its about time!" two people yelled. Sky and me pulled back startled. Dawn and Demetri, should've known.

"Well looks like what these two children were saying is true," Aiden mused bemusedly.

"Congrats," the three of them said together.

"Thank you," I said.

"Aww man no fair, now I'm the only single one," Demetri pouted.

"We'll find you someone eventually dont worry," Dawn winked at him.

Demetri grinned widely at her. I loved this, my sister and Aiden were finally toether and happy. Skylar was finally mine and I didnt plan on letting her go. And Demetri well he'll find somone to love soon enough I know. This was my family. I wouldnt have anyone else to be my family then these three people. For once in Dawn and my life something was finally going right and I hope it stays that way.
