Gray Fullbuster was sitting in the middle of the floor in his apartment. You could hear the traffic from his window that he despreatly tried to blockout at night when he slept, would he miss it? The house looked drab and boring. Would he want to come back? The house was quiet and empty half the time. Would he like the change?
Would he miss living here?
That had been the question on Gray Fullbuster's mind for the past hour. Natsu. He was going to be living with Natsu.
I'd be diffrent. Take some getting used to, but deep down, Gray knew. Gray knew that he was excited, and that he wouldn't want to come back. Gray thought he knew what he was getting himself into. Gray thought he was sure of his feeling twords Natsu.
But feelings can change. For better, or worse.
Natsu was Gray's best friend. Would that change?
Gray sucked in his breath and packed up what little clothes he had. His clothes weren't anything special or loud. They were just normal everyday clothes. Gray packed the rest of his momentos from earlier in his life into a box with some padding. He took one look back as he left with his stuff.
The closer Gray got to Natsu's house the brighter the sun began to shine, without permission a smile slipped onto Gray's face. His chest felt lighter, the closer he got. Confused by the surge of happiness slowly seeping into Gray, Gray laughed. He saw the fire mage's house come into view and Gray gasped.
It wasnt anything grand or over the top, but it was still nicer than Gray had expected. It looked normal. Natsu was waiting outside with his large smile that warmed Gray.
Gray, still confused by why he felt so happy, laughed again.
Natsu grinned wider. "You seem happy for someone who was so grumpy earlier."
Gray shrugged. "You sure this is your house?"
Natsu nodded. "Three story, four bedroom, two bath."
Gray raised his eyebrows in shock. "How can you afford this?"
"I..just..do?" Natsu furrowed his eyebrows trying to find a way to explain it in a non confusing way.
"Great discription." Gray said sarcasticly his eyes roaming the living room before muttering something about it being clean.
"OCD, remember." Natsu explained.
"Right." Gray was akwardly still holding boxes.
Natsu hurridly apollo-gises before, taking Gray with his belongings and pointing to an semi-empty room (upstairs) that hosted a wardrobe, a desk in the corner with a full sized bed in the center.
"Thanks." Gray nodded, "Where's your room?"
"Cross the hall!" Natsu yelled on the way back down stairs.
Gray didn't respond, and Natsu didn't need a response.
Natsu was trying his best to make food, to show that he can do something. Unfortunetly, Gray soon came down and saw. Gray trying to help made it a little easier on poor lil Natsu.
They eventually pulled it off, after throwing flour at eachother (and Erza beacuse she showed up) and messing around. Erza was happy to see them not at eachother's throats, so much that she even cleaned up the mess they made.
Natsu and Gray had managed to make Grilled striped bass with indian spiced tomato salad
Erza aplauded them before staying in Natsu's kitchen to make a Strawberry cake.
Gray, for the first time actually got a good look at Natsu's living room.
There was two large gray couches, a piano in the back. A large tv with a large amounts of videogames in a cubbord by the tv, and a few videogame consoles. There was a sketch pad in the back hidden poorly under a box labeled Sylvia. Gray was curious but he wasnt going to ask. Gray felt a pang, one he didnt understand but it hurt him emotionally.
"Natsu?" Erza spokeup looking at the box
"Yeah?"
"Who's this?"Erza asked holding up a picture of a small girl
Natsu's face fell and his sholders slumped.
"Sylvia.." Natsu's voice wavered.
