"I promised Nona I'd go shopping with her." I said, pulling a dress over my head. I wiggled my wings through the slits in the back then let my hair fall down my back.

Michael groaned and pulled the pillow over his face. "I don't want you to go."

I knelt down on the bed and pulled the pillow down so I could see him. "I've been here two weeks and we've only talked on the phone. I owe her today and probably tomorrow, too."

"Two whole days? That's torture."

I laughed. "You'll survive."

"What am I supposed to do while you're gone?"

"You could work. I'm sure your coworkers miss seeing you at the office." It'd been over a month since we went to Hell, abandoning everything on Earth to fix me. Neither of us worked since then. It was time both of us went back and did something with our new lives.

He pulled me down into his arms and kissed my forehead. "I love you, Destiny Morningstar."

I brushed the hair from my face. "I love you, too."

He kissed me. "I should probably go take a shower."

"You probably should." I whispered, grinning at him.

"Well say hi to the girls for me. We'll have to invite them over for dinner soon."

I nodded, getting to my feet once more. I slipped my shoes on. "No more kissing. I have to go."

"You're killing me, Des."

I winked at him. "I'll be back soon." I opened the bedroom door and came face to face with Nona.

Her glasses were back in the form of sunglasses. She had a leather jacket on and skinny jeans that complimented her figure all too well. She always looked nice but it seemed like she was trying extra hard today.

"You're still in bed?" She asked Michael, her face scrunched.

He rolled his eyes. "I'm allowed to be lazy."

"You don't want to come shopping with us?"

"You two need some time together."

"Dessy's cracking the whip. I like it." She nudged me and winked at Michael.

I grabbed her arm. "I think that's our cue to leave."

"But I was just getting started." She argued, looking over her shoulder at Michael.

"Oh, I know. Believe me." I muttered.

"Bye, Michael!" She yelled.

"Love you."

"Love you too." She giggled.

I elbowed her in the side. "Would you stop?"

She jogged in front of me, car keys jingling in her hand. "Where should we go first?"

"Anywhere but the mall."

"The mall it is!"

I groaned. "At least let me drive."

She opened the driver door and jumped in. "My car, my rules."

I got in the passenger seat. "You suck, Nona."

Michael wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek. "Why are you so tense?"

"I want this to go well."

"Relax, Des. It's just the girls. They love you no matter what you do."

I pulled away from him and walked around the table. "I just want this night to go well."
