Kakyoin was staring at the mounted clock on the wall like a hungry cat. "Jotaro, it's 11:15 am...aren't we supposed to be at school?"

"Yeah," Jotaro answered casually. "We're ditching it today since you almost got killed by the janitor."

"I'm fine now," Kakyoin quietly protested. He wouldn't try to persuade Jotaro. Even if the two of them were friends, he still looked rather intimidating. His Stand would probably be similar.

"Good." Jotaro looks down at Kakyoin. "Are you hungry?"

"A little," he admitted. "I'll wait until lunch, though."

"We could stroll into town and grab a snack," Jotaro offered.

Kakyoin didn't respond immediately, as Joseph was walking over towards the pair. "Would you two want to join us for lunch in an hour or so?"

"I don't think I'll be able to pay, Mr. Josestar," Kakyoin said solemnly.

"Doesn't matter." Joseph sent a dismissive wave to Kakyoin. "It'll be on me...and Avdol."

"I'll still feel guilty..." Kakyoin looks expectantly at Jotaro.

"Fine with me," was all Jotaro would say. He covered his flower up. "Don't any of you have any feelings about showing that Ocular Blossom off in public?"

"No," Joseph answers. "The public probably thinks I'm old and crazy, anyways."

Kakyoin was silent. He knew how much shame he felt while people shot stares at him, yet he gave no effort to his the flower. He kept his hair styled to the left of his face. The more he thought of his hair, the more of a desire he had to move the little twist to the right side of his face.

"Kakyoin?" Jotaro's words broke into his pondering.

"Er...I just..." Kakyoin had to make up something for now. "...don't really care, I suppose."

Jotaro's eye narrowed, causing Kakyoin to sweat nervously a little. Did Jotaro suspect otherwise? It couldn't be a big deal if he thought that Kakyoin was lying. Even if it was a small thing, Kakyoin was worrying about it.

"We're going to meet at this spot in an hour," Joseph informed, pointing at the ground. He didn't say anything else before walking away.

"Do you need anything else?" Jotaro asks Kakyoin.

"Not right now." Kakyoin didn't meet his eyes.

"See you soon, then." Jotaro walked out, leaving Kakyoin alone to be lost in the huge residence.

It was around 12:00 pm when Kakyoin found a clock on the wall. Was this clock the same one that he was near when Joseph had the lunch offer? Kakyoin wasn't sure. Maybe he should look around? But what if this is that same clock? Kakyoin asked himself. If I wander around, I won't be there.

Kakyoin's internal fret was soothed when he could hear the powerful footsteps of Jotaro creaking on the wood. The sound was coming closer as the familiar figure rounded the corner. "You're already here."

"Yep...I'm already here." Kakyoin didn't want to explain all of the wandering he did around the household. "You have a big house, Jojo."

Jotaro nods. "I've gotten used to the size. My father's a famous musician. He's on tour right now."

"I see." Kakyoin looked for any trace of remorse in Jotaro's eyes, but as usual, they didn't hold many emotional queues. It still must feel bad for his dad to be out all the time. He looks like he can manage, though.
Avdol and Joseph came into sight not long after. "What? You two beat us here?" Joseph's voice was exaggerated with surprise.
