"so like, what are you and luke?" calum asked as he and michael sat in the red head's truck, waiting for luke to come back out of his house. he'd forgotten to get a jacket and had insisted on going back inside to get one, so calum and mike were alone in the truck just talking for a little while. calum still felt somewhat awkward talking to michael without luke being there, but he brushed it off as just him being anxious. he knew what michael was like.

"i-" michael shrugged. "we're together." he said, giving calum a small smile. "why?"

calum flashed him a much bigger smile back, making michael feel out done. he'd never been much of a 'smiler'. "i jus' don't want you hurting him, mike." calum said truthfully. "i haven't known you for long enough to create a firm opinion on you, and the things i've heard aren't all that great unless they're coming from luke," he laughed a little to try and make things seem less serious between the two of them, "i just don't want to see luke upset. i know how much he likes you and how much this all means to him."

they both heard luke's front door slam shut and turned their heads, seeing the blond heading back towards them in vans, skinny jeans and now his denim jacket too. michael missed seeing the twink in a skirt.

"i won't hurt him, i promise." michael smiled at calum, and they shut up and changed topics when luke got into the truck, sliding in the back with calum.

"i brought the good stuff for you to try this time, cal." michael said as they drove out of luke's driveway and onto the road.

calum pulled a face, not entirely sure what that meant, but having some sort of an idea. "what do you mean, 'for me to try this time'?" calum asked.

luke just giggled from beside calum, thinking about the party.

michael turned around quickly and just winked at the tanned boy, then put all his attention back into driving.

it was 7:30 in the evening, and because it was winter, it was cold and dark outside, which was why luke had needed to go back to get a jacket. calum and michael had thought about those kinds of things beforehand, although as michael parked the car and held the door open for the two in the back to get out, calum was having second thoughts about even coming along as he saw michael take rolling papers out the front of the truck and lock it all up.

"we going to the park again mikey?" luke whispered, holding onto michael's free hand as he used the other to push his keys and the papers into his pocket.

michael smiled down at his little angel and kissed his forehead. "yeah, baby."

"how often do you go to the park and get high?" calum asked, raising an eyebrow at the couple as he walked beside them, walking next to luke. he eyed michael suspiciously.

"luke's only ever come with me once to get high." michael rolled his eyes at calum. "we just like to go to the park for mini dates sometimes." mike grinned, and luke giggled.

it didn't take them long to reach the deserted park and climb over the bars to get in, since the gate was locked after 6, and nobody was supposed to be in there. michael helped luke over, and offered to help calum, to which calum laughed and showed michael he could hop over easily, without 'adult help'. "i'm not a baby like luke!" calum teased, making luke blush a little, and michael laugh along with him.
