they wasted the night away just like any other night, except they were all high off their head in a kids play park. calum had passed out asleep on the bench, and michael and luke were sat together next to his head. luke was playing with the tanned boy's hair as he sat on michael's lap, giggling to the stupid stories that michael was whispering to him so not to wake calum up.

"mikey?" luke asked after a little while, pulling his hand away from calum's hair, and turning himself around in michael's lap, so his knees were either side of michael's legs, and he was facing the redhead.

"that's me." michael said back with a small smile.

luke smiled back at him, it was instant with michael. he'd never seen michael smile genuinely ever before in his life, and he was glad that he'd been the one to finally get the boy to be smiling and all happy.

"what are we going to do when we go back to school?" luke asked slowly, peering up into his boyfriend's green eyes.

michael sighed and shrugged. "to be honest, i haven't given it a lot of thought." he said truthfully.

"me neither." luke sighed as well, resting his head on his boyfriend's shoulder, against his neck.

"we can't tell that many people that we're like, a thing." michael said after a moment.

luke lifted his head and pulled a face at him. "i wasn't going to tell anyone anyway. who do i have to tell?" luke asked.

his vision was starting to go funny, and he was feeling the cannabis start to wear off. he felt more awake now than he did earlier. he felt bad that calum might wake up on a park bench with a sore back and a hangover.

"i don't know." michael admitted.

it went quiet all around them as luke thought about things. his mum didn't even know about michael yet, and he knew he couldn't keep it from her forever. he didn't want her to think that he wasn't telling her things, and that he was keeping stuff from her. luke wasn't like that at all.

"we have to tell my mum soon. she really wants to meet you." luke said.

"why does he have to meet me? i'm not going to get her approval if that's what your after. luke, look at me. i'm a druggie." michael scoffed, pushing luke away from him a little.

luke shuffled backwards on his lap and bit his lip, looking down.

michael's eyes softened and he sighed, pulling luke closer to him again, huggin the twink close. "i'm sorry lu, i didn't mean it, i jus- i don't know. i don't know how this stuff works. i've never had a partner who's cared about me as much as you do." he whispered, almost cradling luke now. luke smiled to himself. "i guess i'm scared of losing you." he admitted.

"you're not g'nna lose me mikey. who else have i got to run off with? you and calum are my only friends." luke told the boy again, letting michael hug him tight.

"i s'pose." michael mumbled.

the two pulled away, and luke smiled at michael, kissing his cheek gently. "can we go home now? i don't want calum to wake up with a sore back from laying on a park bench to sleep, and also having a hangover." luke giggled, giving michael another quick peck on the lips.

"if you say so butterfly." michael grinned.
