18~ Hit & Run

Rachel's POV

I don't know how long it took, but Kurt, Blaine, Puck and Sam were finally able to pry Sebastian and Hunter away from each other before we had serious problems.

"I can't believe you guys actually had the guts to attack each other on the choir room floor! If school was in session, you'd both get at least a month's worth of detention. I know because it happened to me lots before." Puck said. 

"You're such a classy, classy man. To think you made it into the air force." Sam told him.

"Guys, I don't mean to alarm you all or anything, but it seems that Reese Lavek has left the building!" I shouted at them. Sebastian was the first to react, he shot out of the room faster than the cars on the Indianapolis Speedway. Yes, Finn introduced me to racing.

Sebastian's POV

I didn't care if I had a bloody nose and soon-to-be-black eye, but I just made a giant idiot out of myself in front of Reese, and I felt awful.

"Reese!" I saw her speedwalking down the street towards the bustling streets. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry I did that, he just was getting on my nerves, but-"

"Sebastian! It's fine, get yourself some medical care, I just need some fresh air, I feel like I'm going to pass out." she said.

"Than come back with me. You can sit outside in the hospital balcony while they push my nose back into place." I joked.

"Listen to me, I just need some air, go back with Rachel, she'll take care of you, promise." the light turned green and she started crossing the street.

"Reese! Reese stop!" Rachel, Blaine and Kurt came running down the street. Shouting for Reese. I didn't get why, until I saw a car speeding down the road. He wasn't stopping for Reese. Oh god.

"Reese! Stop!"

Reese's POV

"Reese! Stop!" I stopped in the middle of the walkway as I saw a car coming barreling towards me. I froze like a statue, I couldn't move.

"REESE!" that was probably the last time I was going to hear Rachel's voice calling my name. I thought I was going to die that night, but instead I was thrown to the side of the street. I felt hot pain on my chin and eyebrow, but I looked up at the street at my saviour. I wish I didn't though.

I looked up just in time, to see Sebastian get hit by the car.

Rachel's POV

"REESE!" this was it, this was the last time I'd ever see my best friend. But it wouldn't be.

Sebastian ran out into the street and shoved Reese out of the way. she went flying and hit the other side of the street, safe from the car. He wasn't so lucky, as the car rammed into him. Sebastian flew across the car's windshield and landed on the ground. 

The car kept going.

Sebastian wasn't moving.

It was a hit and run.

"Oh my god. Oh my god!" I started sobbing, like I did when Finn sent me off to New York without him. I felt heartbroken all over again.

"Rachel, what-what do we do?" Kurt asked, just as everybody came out of the school in time to witness the travesty.

"Uh-uh-oh my god um...call the hospital! Call somebody!" I sobbed.

Sirens started going off in the distance as Blaine started on the phone. I ran over to Reese, who was frozen in place on the rough streets, panting and bleeding.

"Reese! Reese come on you got to get up. You need to go to the hospital." I panted. She just stayed frozen on the ground, staring at Sebastian's lifeless body.

"The ambulance is coming, they're going to help him. He's going to be alright, we need to go. Come on!" I said and tried pulling her up. Reese got onto her feet, with my help, and let me lead her off the street and towards Tina's car, with her eyes still peeled open and jaw dropped to the max.

I couldn't blame her, it wasn't fair. This isn't fair. First Finn, now Sebastian? Who else is on the Grim Reeper's death list?
