14: Lilly Wattcom

Everyone began to shake their heads. "Never heard of him." One man said.

       "How about you let us out?" Asked another man.

       "He was supposed to be with you. And, I can't. I will be back though. I promise. I just have to report to Captain Rogers." I whisper and then hurried out to meet Steve.

       "Wait!" A man called. He had been sleeping in another cell unit nearby. "You know Steve?!" He shouted after me.

       I rushed over and hushed his eyes wide, "Shhh! Don't broadcast it to the whole facility! If they catch me here... They..." My German accent was shaking in fear. What if they caught me helping the other side. How would that look to them?

      "Who are you?" I hissed through his bars.

       "James. James Barnes! If you're talking about Steve Rogers, he's no captain. He was in New York the last time I saw him!" He said hot lowering his voice very much.

       I hushed him frantically and shook my head, "Captain Steven Rogers. He is a Captain and he participated in an experiment. I have to go. He is waiting for my report. We will be back soon!" I promised before racing off again giving him no time to speak. I hurried through the facility and made it outside where I met a small group of soldiers and Steve. "Steve!" I was out of breath because I had sprinted there.

       "Lilly! what did you learn"? steve asked as the troops got ready eager for a fight. "not the point, sit and relax". steve said offering a spot to sit down.

      "Yes!" Cap said trying not to seem too excited, which he failed adorably at. "Alright, I'm going in all of you stay here!" He whispered.

       I reach out and grabbed Steve's arm, "And I'm coming with you, Hotshot." I said refusing no as an answer, "Remember? I know where they are." I dragged him carefully back through the maze of corridors.

       "Anyone ever told you that you're as stubborn as a donkey?" He whispered so no guard could hear us. He maneuvered with me through the long halls.

       I rolled my eyes, making sure he saw it lead him right to James. "You free James. I can get the others." I moved over to the others and pulled out a lock picking set setting to work. It took me three seconds to get it to open and when I did I turned to see how Steve was doing. That adorable hot man... I mean he was having troubles and sighed moving in, "Oh move over!" I mutter and pick open James's lock in a record time of a second and a half.

       "Uh, I could have done that," Steve said lying, embarrassed slightly.

       I chuckled quietly, "My name is Lilly Evelan Wattcom. You are James Buchanan Barnes." I extended my hand for him to shake.

       He shook my hand, firm and strong. "A German on our side, you're more than welcome the first friendly local." He said jokingly.

       I pulled away from his hand after I shook it and clenched my teeth slightly guiltily as the gene inside me screamed to pull my gun but I resisted and nodded, "Come on. We need to go before a guard finds us."

       "Right come on." James nodded. He gathered the unit and along with Steve lead us out. The guards never knew what hit them.
