The truck had stopped at a gas station and that is where we hopped out. We continued down the main road for a bit, careful to hide every time a car would come. Soon, the sun was setting and my feet were throbbing. I took a deep breath and looked around at my surroundings. We hadn't talked since the whole we are going to a safe house thing. Maybe we both felt super awkward at what had happened between us.
"So..." I finally broke the day long silence.
He looked over at me and then back at the road, "Yes?"
Now that I had broken the silence I didn't really know what to say. I shifted uncomfortably and cleared my throat awkwardly.
"Spit it out." He sighed.
"Have you heard Bon Jovi?" I asked. Yep... Wow, Loki. Great topic. Music.
He gave me a bewildered look, "Who...?"
My jaw hung open in disbelief, "Bon Jovi? Metallic? Arrow Smith? Motley Crew? Cyndi Lauper?" He shook his head at each, "Seriously dude! We have to get you some music to listen to asap! They are all like... LEGENDS!"
He chuckled at my indignation, "Alright... I'll take you word for it." He rolled his eyes.
I fell silent trying to come up with another topic to talk about to keep the awkward silence away for more time. "Uh.... Do you like seafood?"
"Depends..." He shrugged.
"Well... I personally like Seafood. Crab is heaven." I laughed.
He grinned at me and chuckled, "You are adorable, you know that?"
My face went crimson with embarrsement, "Uh... Uhm... What now??"
"I said, You. Are. Adorable." His chuckle turned into a deep laugh. Oh, He was enjoying my torment so.
I squeaked with embarrassment, "I hate you!"
"No, Rosie. You don't." He smiled and leaned down stopping me with a kiss.
I kissed back shyly at first, being some what shocked at this but I kinda had known it was coming, and soon kissed him back deeply closing my eyes and melting into him happily.
