I raced through the streets as the Avengers took pursuit. This was before I was a Stark. Before I wasn't a criminal. I was an assassin for HYDRA. Trained since four, deployed at six and raised since one after HYDRA rescued me from the tragedy that t...
So. I just got adopted, right? Sort of. Yeah. Anyway, T'Challa managed to charm his father into taking me in. No clue how... But it happened.
I sat down at the long wooden table in the hall eating a meat-filled breakfast in Wakanda. It had been a few weeks since I got here. Things had been interesting. Especially with the news of being a hidden magical kingdom. Well, technically it was science with the help of vibranium but still. T'Challa sat down next to me grinning, " Guess what father says we can do??"
I gave him a slightly anxious annoyed look and then sighed, "...Do I want to know?"
T'Challa grinned larger and chuckled, "Of course you do. I get to go with father and see his kingly duties in action."
I raised my eyebrow, "But... What about me...?"
"You get to be here all alone whilst I do the boring stuff." He shrugged, pouting slightly jealous.
My eyebrow went up a little more, "I thought you were excited to do the 'boring' stuff. You get to be king of Wakanda one day! I find that super awesome."
He shrugged again, "Yeah I suppose. Also... Guess what?"
I made a face. I wasn't very thrilled for more life-changing news but let him continue, curious to what he was going to say. "...What...?"
"We are going to have a baby sister!"
"We are?" I asked, blinking.
T'Challa's grin was back and he was nodding vigorously. "Yep!"
"When?"
"In about five months."
"T'Challa!" T'Chaka's voice called. "Come along. We must get to my meeting."
"Well... duty calls." T'Challa pushed himself up off the bench, waved and left me sitting in silence.
I stared at my food, having lost my apatite. 'What am I going to do? I have the whole palace to myself today... Hmmm...' Soon a small smirk twisted my face as I got an idea.
There was a room T'Challa and I were forbidden to enter. You already know where this is going, right reader? It's not that hard to figure out. Yup, I, Connor Empire, will go and enter that forbidden room! Cue dramatic music, please.
Thanks.
Anyhoo, I got up from the bench and put my plate in the kitchens. Now, I was going to go to my room. This sort of special ops mission needs some serious gear. And, yes reader I am being dramatic on purpose to heighten the story. All I really needed was a belt with a few easy to get mechanic tools and my keycard. I froze. Hang on a moment. I couldn't even use MY keycard on that door. "Crap!" I cursed and prayed that T'Chaka had left his keycard by accident.
I edged out of my room and close the door behind me looking around. I spotted some surveillance cams. Maybe this would be a special ops mission after all. I sighed, shrugged and grinned. "What fun is it if it's not difficult to pull off..." I look up at every reader, "Aye?" I moved towards T'Chaka's room and found its ornately carved wooden and vibranium door. There was no crack in the door like it was some space age thing. I ran my hand across it and frowned a little at its cool surface. I flashed my own keycard at the reader and the door beeped open. I slipped through and looked around the room.
Everything in the room was made of vibranium and wood. My eyes scanned the room and found his desk. It was made of Mahogany I believe but who cares about imported wood. The papers on the desk top and the contents of the draws were all I cared about.
I scurried closer and opened up the draw I was sure held T'Chaka's keycard. I dug through a stack of papers frowning. I had almost given up on the particular draw when low and behold was his keycard, "Thank the readers. Here it is! Thank everything for covenant plot points." I grinned. "Now where did I put that fingerprint removal spray...?" I dug through my arsenal of gear and finally pulled out a spritzer bottle. I spritzed down everything I touched and wiped it with a white cloth before leaving the room with T'Chaka's keycard.
Now for the difficult part. Yes, reader, that was way too easy thanks to the writer of the story. Could you possibly bump up the writing a bit? What like this?: A set of guards came by. When the saw you so close to the chambers of T'Chaka. They hurried forward and frowned, not trying you just yet because you had only just arrived a week ago. "Connor what are you doing so close to-"
Okay! Okay! I get it. Thanks for being so nice to me. I know you have the power to make me do stupid stuff so...
Yeah. So keep that in mind and pray your counterpart in real life keeps that in mind too. Anyway, keep a-tellin your story. (^-^)
Right. I made my way down the hallway and made it to the forbidden doorway. I flashed the keycard at the reader and a voice spoke in Wakanda, "Kumkani T'haka Udaku. Yaziwa."
It roughly translated to: King T'Chaka Udaku. Recognized. It made a weird hissing sound and the door opened. I stepped through and closed the door as I looked around. Everything was made of a black marble-like substance. 'Maybe pure vibranium?' I shrugged and walked further into the room. There was a glass-like case at the back of the hall illuminated by a few mini spotlights. I walked closer and my eyes widen as I touch the glass, "Woah..."
(A/N) Fun fact! The majority of this chapter was written at my sister's Special Olympics basketball game. She has Turner's Syndrome. The Youtube Videos is below:
They lost their first game(the game recorded), won their second and won their third. Overall they took 3rd place. I am a super proud little sis.
