mood song: drew barrymore (sza)

Lui woke up and reached for you once again, only to find you weren't there. His pale hands groped for a body similar to yours to hold, to no avail. When purple eyes met the world for the second time that day, they found no trace of human life besides his own. Lui sat up, hoping to find the sound of someone in the kitchen or living room. Nothing. Feet padded against the floor until Lui's eyes found a piece of paper on the nightstand. His purple eyes scanned the paper, deducing that you were gone.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck...," Lui trailed off, realizing that this wasn't like arguments before this. He had hurt you, badly, leaving a scar that would remain for the rest of your life. "Goddamn."

There was something deep inside of him, anger that you had left. A small flicker of rage that glowed ever so softly. The ember slowly went out as waves upon waves of sadness drowned it out. You had left because you genuinely believed that he loved the other woman. Lui ran to the dresser, digging through the clothes you had left. He removed your favorite shirt, one of Lui's own Rideout shirts he never wore. Your smell still lingered, a mix of vanilla and his deodorant.

"Why'd she ever love me anyways?" Lui pondered sadly. His hands ran over the cloth over and over again. Little tears fell to the garment,  leaving wet stains. He removed his old  shirt and put on that one. Surisingly, it still fit Lui. He laid down on your side of the bed, snuggling into the comforter. He glared at nothing as fat tears rolled down his face.

"Damn it all.," Lui cursed himself. He pulled the blanket over his head and blew out angry air. "Damn it all to hell."

Anything and everything he did always ended up hurting someone. He just wanted somebody to hold, somebody to love without worry of hurting them. Lui heard a key in the lock and the sound of the door opening.

"Hey, I'm here to-" You said, but were interrupted by a teal-haired boy running into your arms. His thinnish yet muscular arms wrapped around your waist, heavy from missing you. You giggled slightly and petted Lui's hair.

“Why'd you leave?” Lui asked, laying a sloppy kiss on your neck.

“You read the letter, I presume?” You questioned, presuming he did.

“Mhm.”

"I told you, I'm not coming back until you at least spend a couple months with her." You said, attempting to comfort the boy's quiet tears.

"But I want you." Lui said. You petted his hair some more and kissed the top of Lui's head.

"I do too, Lui. Can't you tell? But when you hurt someone this bad, they need some space." You said. Lui sobbed.

"God, Lui. It seems like every time I come over here, you have a breakdown." You giggled. Lui let out a choked laugh.

"OK. I understand you need space. Just get your stuff, stay away as long as you need..." Lui agreed reluctantly.

"I really have made you soft, haven't I? The old Lui would've quite literally kept me from physically leaving." You joked. Lui looked down.

"I'll... just go get my stuff."
