One week had passed and Pristine's problem is still there. Hindi niya makausap si Kuya Trouble ng maayos or what. Nagagalit na rin si Serenity at Hiraeth.

Napagdesisyunan ko na kausapin na si Mommy, na 'wag na 'tong ituloy. Alam ko na lahat ng sasabihin ko, basta lang pumayag si Mommy.

Puro practice lang for the upcoming programs kaya nasa field ulit ako. There, I called Mommy.

"Hello, 'My?"

"Euphoric! Why did you call? Is there an emergency?"

"Wala naman po.. uhh, I just want to say something.."

"Sure, ano 'yon?"

"Ayaw ko na po ma-engage kay Patrick, 'My.. pwedeng sa iba na lang po, basta 'wag na sa kanya."

Matagal na natahimik si Mommy sa kabilang linya.

"Why? Do you have any problems with Trick? He's a good guy!"

"Wala naman po. I just think we do not really fit. Please, 'My.. ayaw ko na po talaga.."

"I'm sorry dear, buo na ang desisyon ng Daddy mo. You better obey us, Ri."

"Pero 'My! What if may iba pala akong gusto? Pababayaan niyo lang na ganon?"

"Trick is easy to like and love. You'll learn, eventually. And please Ri, kung totoo 'man 'yan, tigilan mo 'yan. Walang maidudulot na maganda sa'yo ang sino 'mang lalaki magugustuhan mo, maliban kay Trick."

"Eh bakit hindi na lang kayo ang magpakasal kay Patrick?! Ayaw ko naman talaga eh!" sigaw ko nang hindi ko na napigilan.

"Euphoric Astraea! Ang bibig mo! We'll talk the next time I see you. Matuto kang rumespeto. I'm busy, don't call again if you'll bring this topic!"

And she ended the call.

I cried. Quietly. Kasi mas delikado 'yung nasa public place ako eh. But who cares, anyway? Makita 'man ako na nahihirapan, okay lang sa kanila.

Kasi ako lang naman 'to.

I cried again much more and buried my face on my hands. And when I opened my eyes, there, I saw Patrick standing in front of me.

"W-what are you doing here?" I asked as I tried to stop my tears from falling. He didn't answer, instead, he said,

"Iyak ka lang, makikinig ako. It's okay to be weak in front of me. I'll be here for you,"
