Crying Out from the Tанцпол (II)

I continue sitting still on the grass, clearing away the invasive Crisplies from the area using nothing but my right arm.

"They say they can hear all," jokingly adds Andriy.

I, surprised at the fact that he noticed me swatting them away, laugh anxiously along with a hesitant Caemanor and an eager Karl. Looking around the grass floor beneath me, I await the missing members of our small group: Yoshida, Amarante, and Imani, whom have all gone to grab us some apples from the fruit carts inside the center building. While the others and I await their return, my bottom continues on resting comfortably atop the soft and mildly damp grass, with my entire back leaned against a small outdoor tree, wondering how successful my mission will turn out in the end. All I have to do is wait for a few more days to pass by before the insanity of the program is over.

Unknowingly smiling at the fact that my mission is approaching its end, I find myself accidentally staring at Karl, who smiles back at me. Thankfully, I spot no reason to feel threatened by Karl's persona, as I had previously confided with him my biggest secret: that I am a spy for the enemy Nation. Surprisingly, Karl is also a spy, whose real name happens to be Langer Foraldie, vice-leader of the united gendered resistance. Shockingly, both he and Andriy actually met while I was in Training. Langer and Andriy had initially bonded over the death of Langer's mother, Sadina, the first in command of the movement who died in an accident alongside the founder of the united gendered movement Larelle LaMeuir, the humble hero who led the failed revolts of Loases City at around the time I had just arrived to the Nation. In my opinion, both Langer and Andriy are men worthy of respect. Meanwhile, I have yet to earn the same respect they are owed but once the mission is over, they will not be the only ones to recieve medals and praise. Hopefully I will join their rank as a globally known hero of the people. However, as wonderful as all that sounds, I must remember that Blesourd comes first, regardless of what my mission requires me to do.

Speaking abruptly as to interrupt my thoughts, I pause my pondering and take a moment to stare at Andriy's face as he talks, observing his appearance quite closely. Andriy as one sees, has piercing green eyes, brown-blonde hair, and spread out yet thin, facial hair, mustache included of course. His face naturally contains dimples, but what he has for dimples, he lacks in melanin. He is very pale, almost as white as paint. To add, if I were homosexual, I would be without a doubt, instantly attracted to him but thankfully I am not attracted to him. However, I do notice Langer staring a bit too long at him. Langer might be homosexual, which doesn't bother me, and even if he is, then Andriy must also be homosexual. Both men have spent a generous amount of time with each other. It would not be beyond them to have had special relations as relations with either sex is strictly prohibited throughout the country, and it applies to them as well, even if they are not participating in society. Shifting my attention away from the proposed theory of love I believe to be going on between Andriy and Langer, I look down to the grass ahead of me. Andriy's excessive talking is really starting to bore me. The other members of my group left not too long ago. They should have been back by now. Where are they?

I soon lose focus on my surroundings and begin to recall an event that had occurred before I had left to Training.

"Nerkan, remember to utilize this specific chip when the moment presents itself to you as this chip is a special kind of computer chip. It must only be used when directed to. From the minute you implant it on yourself without prior warning, you run the chance of losing several million if not half, of all your nerve cells. You must only activate it when ordered to. So in order for the glitch to be available for use, you must activate it at the right time! Heed my warning as it may only be used once," Amadan says to me before handing me the chip I had just retrieved.

But as soon as I am recalling memories from my past, I am interrupted by the arrival of the rest of the group.

"We're back!" announces eagerly Amarante, standing next to an also eager Imani and a grinning Yoshida, with each person carrying two apples in their hands.

From the second the rest of the group had arrived, the fruits had begun to be quickly handed out, passing hands at almost lightning speed, as if the apples themselves were burning pieces of coal. Looking at Amarante as to ask for a fruit from her, I find myself recieving a thrown apple she had launched at me. Grasping the apple tightly with both hands, I proceed to bite into the fruit's wet firm surface. Never has a fruit tasted so delicious to me before.

Whilst I happily consume the fruit of luck and sweetness, I find myself listening in to a discussion between Amarante, Imani, and the rest of the group regarding the simulation challenge yesterday. Oddly enough, they were both put into the same simulation, a cliff's edge. They both had initially fought before realizing fighting was useless in order to survive their changing environment. For both Yoshida and Andriy, their simulation was about the same, where they both had to fight and survive a sinking vessel, while my simulation involved an escape from the hands of a crazed male. None of what was mentioned before made any sense to me. What were we supposed to be tested on? Something does not feel right. What was the purpose of the first challenge? But, before I am able to ponder any more with the rest of the group regarding the challenge's purpose, two identical looking females approach and face the group table, introducing themselves to us as they do so.

The identical set of females are both named Heiwa and Naili. Heiwa, the lighter skinned of the two females, has straight long bright brown hair while Naili has short black hair. Heiwa's eyes are lighter's than Naili's but Naili seems to be more friendly and outspoken out of the two. Naili's face depicts a more sculpted jawline while Heiwa's jawline is a bit more rounded. However, one defining characteristic out of the two females is noted by one of their differentiating qualities compared to the rest of us: the lack of sluggish posture they convey when they stand. Both appear to stand perfectly straight although, Heiwa's back is a bit more shrugged than Naili's. Regardless of posture and appearance, I find it somewhat impossible to truly tell both apart if I were to stand ten feet away from them.

"We are sorry to bother you all, but all of the fruit carts are empty and we were wondering if you have any spare fruits we may eat. We were unable to find any fruits in the entire building. We apologize for bothering you all," says Heiwa.

"Yes, we are truly sorry to ask," adds Naili.

WIth my brain not even given enough time to process everything that has gone through it, I continue to be shocked yet again by the actions of the redhead. Amarante lazily hands two apples at the girls, whom both graciously accept, before each taking a bite of the juicy fruits.

"Come sit with us," Amarante comments.

Prompted by her invitation, the females thank our group once more before sitting down beside Amrante and chatting with the group, expanding our total group to nine members.
