I reach the room assigned to me inside some building labeled "5D," after being shown around the buildings of main importance inside the dome. You know, the ones that are going to matter for the next two weeks. Funny thing, out of every single unit inside this building, I get room "1A," the one at the start of the hall on the second floor. This is surprising for me as I am used to more walking. The room is closer to the outside than one would expect. Knowing how close I have my room should bring me some sort of joy but depressing thoughts related to you-know-who keep popping up in my mind. Sometimes I feel as if I am undeserving of all this, but I take it upon myself to make myself comfortable anyways, I have to. I did not come here just to lap in luxury. I came here to make it Paradias and start over, nothing less.
I enter inside the room of "1A," where I place my bag down beside my bed. A guy ahead of me on the other side of the room is also unpacking his things, with his long dark colored bag lying down beside the bed frame across from mine.
Quickly, my entrance catches his attention, causing him to promptly greet me.
"Oh hey, my name's David Iona," he says, before turning around to look at me, presumably to shake hands.
Surprised by the unexpected greeting, I greet him back with a sort of eagerness in my voice.
"Hi, name's Kevin," I say.
The minute he turned to face me, I immediately notice something about him that has me go insane in my mind. He is so handsome to look at, more handsome than any male I have ever met before in my life and yet, a minute detail about him irks me slightly. His name is the same as Cae's ex, David. I remember when we used to all hang out and do stupid things together, just the four of us. Ah, those were the days; the days when it was all much simpler and easier. Even if his name is David, I cannot help but be overcome with admiration for his sculpted chin, his clean shaven face, and his silky-like dark blonde hair. Observant of his attractive features, I notice a few traits of his body that stand out to me. His skin is of a whitish pale color, like mine, with a strong yet lean muscular build. His thick legs only work to further add to his attractiveness, matching the rock hard composition that is of his upper torso. His eyes are of a piercing green color, coincidentally, the same color of his shirt. Regardless, he is, without a doubt, irresistible, with his low charming voice luring me away from all sure thought. Looking at him for any longer could actually make me melt. Aside from his incredible good looks, I notice his height stands at about six feet in approximation, taller than me actually. And as I admire his good looks (and height), I catch myself caught off guard by a question he poses to me only seconds after I take note of his attractiveness.
"Where ya from, Kevin?" he asks with a tone of interest
"Well, I uh-," I am stuttering, STUTTERING. Trying to avoid any hints of nervousness in my tone, I ask him the same question.
"Sorry give me a minute to remember what my town's name is. Mind telling me where you are from? My mind is kind of slow," I say, before letting out a forced haha.
"Well I am from of Astaic City, the neighboring city of Russo just north of here. Have you r-"
Quick and filled with a tremendous amount of anxiety, I cut him off, albeit too quickly.
"I am from Mountain Point in the southern region!" I yell, just realizing how anxious I am to be in his attractive presence.
"Oh awesome, I have never heard of that place," he says, seeming very casual in his tone, more than how I am sounding, sending chills of embarrassment down my spine.
"Yeah, uh do you want help unpacking or anything?" he asks me.
"Nah, its good but thanks. What position did you earn in First Rank by the way?" I ask him, now calmer in speech.
