"He doesn't seem as dangerous as you told me he was" said the child gripping onto his sleeves, he was clearly afraid and hated the current situation.
"Your job is to watch over him and report whatever he says and does" the man had turned his back on the child, not acknowledging his presence.
"I w-will" said the child as he bowed down to leave the room. His eyes started watering, he felt a tightening feeling taking over his chest. He had hoped they would allowed him to see his sister, but the meeting was only to remind him of what he had to do. Why was this stranger so important for them? What had he done? He didn't seem at all like a fugitive. The child thought he looked more like an outcast-
**Meanwhile**
Frankenstein walked down the streets, it was cold and only a few beggars could be seen from different corners. He liked it here, he thought it would be an immaculate spot to carry on his revenge. A town so dead no one bothered to ask him anything.
"Wait!" A voiced yelled from behind, Frankenstein recognised the voice and the headache he'd have to live through if he were to stop, he kept pacing forward.
"Please wait!" The voice grew nearer and Frankenstein stopped, sighing he turned around.
"What is it?" He asked in annoyance.
"Thank you!" Said the boy.
"Don't mention it" said Frankenstein as he was about to leave the boy.
"No no please wait!" Said the boy holding onto the man's coat.
Frankenstein glanced at the boy and his hands, seeing how dirty they were he silently tried to keep his cool. He took a step backward which made the boy leave the coat to hold onto the floor not to slip. Frankenstein now had a trail of dirt on his coat, and his mood has swung to the worse. He looked at the boy, one of his eye blinking uncontrollably.
"I'm sorry! I'll clean it! At my home! Please come!" Said the child noticing how Frankenstein was fuming.
Frankenstein had yet to settle for a place, he believed he couldn't remain with dirt lining his coat for too long, he sighed appalled.
"Fine" he said, his fingers massaging his temples.
"Thank you! I'm so sorry! It's this way" the boy led Frank's through some narrow alleys back into bigger ones and so on, until they reached a small rundown house. The boy gestured for the man to come in.
"Please it's this way" he hurried in, lighted a fire and urged the man to take off his coat.
"I'll do it myself" said Frankenstein as he walked over to the sink, not really minding his host and not intending to be rude, after all, he wasn't really going to let a child wash off his own coat.
"You're really good at this" said the boy as he watched Frankenstein cleaning off the dirt. He was fascinated at how the man's fingers moved so delicately.
After what seemed to be an eternal break of silence, the boy decided to talk
"Could you... teach me how to read" he said as he sat next to the man opposite the fire.
Frankenstein was surprised at the boy's request.
"Don't you have a school you can attend to?" he said, his coat drying over his knees.
"I can't, I have to look after the bar" he said.
"I see" said Frankenstein, judging from the house's state, he understood that the child was alone. He didn't owe him anything, yet-
"Fine" he said sighing
"Really?!" Said the boy jumping off his seat.
"Don't make me repeat myself" said Frankenstein noticing how well the coat was drying.
"Allright- okay- sure.... so.... I'm your apprentice now?!" He said, stars shining in his eyes.
"No... more like a pupil, or a student" said Frankenstein, secretly enjoying the child's enthusiasm.
"I'm Tesamu!" He exclaimed.
"Right, my name is Frankenstein" he replied.
