Your POV

I stroll around the quaint town. Lord Aphmau has been really nice. I've been given a house to stay in, as well as clothes. I wore a red plaid shirt with black skinny jeans and grey shoes. This is the most normal I've dressed in a long time...

This place is so beautiful. The plaza is vibrant and busy. I guess it's rush hour. People either stood or chatted, all while admiring the stalls and buying produce. I walk by a vegetable bender. The greens are bright and fresh today. I walk away and continue to look around.

I get so absorbed in looking at all the stalls that I hit what seems to be a wall. I step back and shake my head. I look and see that I didn't hit a wall.
"Hello Y/N!" Garroth greets. I smile awkwardly and straighten.
"Hi! Sorry about that, I wasn't looking as to where I was going." I explain. He nods.
"I-Its fine. I hope your taking a liking to our village?" He asks, hopeful. I nod and turn back to look at all the colorful stalls.
"Yeah! It's all so vibrant and welcoming." I turn back to face him. "You have a lovely village." I grin. He seems to blush a little.
"Ah th-thank you. This is q-quite a peaceful place." He smiles.

Our little conversation gets cut off by the sound of many horses and screaming. He whips out his sword and turns towards the gate.
"I-I'm sorry, I have to see what's happening." He says and he dashes off. I frown and chase after him. I catch up and run beside him, dodging curious or scared villagers. He looks at me questioningly. I smile and stare ahead.
"I guess I'm also curious." I say, sprinting ahead.

Garroth's POV

I watch as she runs ahead of me. She pretty fast. We both stop at the gate to see people either laying on the floor terrified of people being held by their collars by some people in armor. I run up to them.
"Who are you?! Attacking my village like this?!" I yell. A guard quickly raises a sword to my throat but I parry it away before it comes any closer. The guard steps away and clears his throat.
"We are looking for someone. And will stop at nothing to find them." He says, his face covered by a cloak.

I watch, shocked, as Y/N jumps from behind the guy and disarms him, driving him onto the floor and holding an arm behind his back in a lock. He lands and screams.
"Release me! Get off!" He yells. She shakes her head.
"Leave this village immediately." She says, her voice full of venom. He jolts for a moment.
"I-Its you!" He gasps. I watch a grin sprawl on her face.
"Yup. I believe you know the rest." She says, stepping off of him and standing beside me.

By this time, the guards have either defeated or disarmed the guards. The guy that Y/N had beaten looked at me, full of disgust.
"How do can you live with yourself? Knowing what that MONSTER has done?! And still, you allow her to stand beside you. Disgusting!" He drops something before he walks out the gate, leaving on horseback with the rest of his group. I felt upset knowing that he had said that about her. I look down at to she her scuffing her shoe on the gravel, looking angry.

"I'm sorry." She says, looking down. I raise an eyebrow.
"What for?" I ask. She chuckles before looking up and staring at the now closed gate.
"If I hadn't have come here, that wouldn't have been an issue." She says, directed at what just occurred. I place a hand on her shoulder.
"P-Please don't think that. It's all fine now." I say, trying to reassure her.

She flicks her hair up and sighs. She turns and stares at me, smiling. I feel heat rise to my cheeks as I stare back at her.
"Thanks Garroth." She says, stepping away and waving behind her. I smile as I watch her walk away. I hear someone clear their throat behind me. I turn around to see the guys looking goofily at me.

"Smooth." Dante says. I shrug.
"What do you mean?" I say, disoriented. He shakes his head.
"You know what." Laurence frowns. "You totally like her." I recoil at the sentence and blush a little.
"W-What? N-No I don't." I say quickly. Maybe too quickly... They all raise an eyebrow.
"You do! Hah!" Travis yells. I put a hand over his mouth.

"You can't prove it." I challenge. They all crack a smirk and look past me.
"We can't prove it huh? So what were you staring at?" Dante grins. I gulp. Shoot.
"Uh..." I say, whipping around. "The... Plaza!" I spit. They all look unconvinced.
"Sure buddy." Aaron says, slapping my back and walking off. The others follow and wink at me as they walk past. I sigh and pause. Maybe I really do like her...
