Your POVI hear a knock at my door. I groan and stumble towards it. Who would be ready at this hour? I sip my coffee as I open my door.
"Good morning Y/N." Garroth greets cheerfully. He wore normal clothes for once. A light blue plaid shirt with jeans and sneakers, as well as a blue and yellow jacket draped over his shoulder.
"Hey Garroth." I nod towards him, "I thought you were glued to your armor." I grin. He laughs before looking at himself and smiling.
"Well, it's my day off. I was, um, actually w-wondering if you w-wanted to go on a p-picnic with me." He asks, his voice stuttering more and more as he spoke. I giggle at his adorableness."Of course! I just need to get ready." I reply happily. He smiles and nods.
"I-I'll come by later to get you. Is that alright?" He asks. I nod.
"Yep. See you later Garroth." I wave, stepping back and closing the door.As I walk away, I hear a muffled 'yes!' From Garroth. I laugh as I walk up to my room. What should I wear?
I walk back to the kitchen now ready. I wore a F/C long sleeve shirt with grey shorts and F/C sneakers. My hair was out and combed until it was soft and smooth. I hadn't bothered with makeup, too time consuming.
I hear a knock at the door. I start to jog towards it. I open it to reveal a happy and blushing Garroth.
"Hey again." I greet. He nods. I saw that he carried a picnic basket.
"Are you ready?" He asks. I nod and walk out the door, closing it behind me. I walk beside him as we walk to the gates.
"Where are we going?" I ask. He smiles and glances at me.
"You'll find out soon." He replies curtly. I grimace and stare ahead. I'm not a fan of surprises. We walk out of the gates and wander through the woods for awhile. I remember bits and pieces of where we are. It hits me when we reach our destination. I gasp as I walk over to the edge. It was where I was practicing my shooting.
"The valley looks as vibrant as ever." I admire. Garroth stands beside me. I see him nod.
"I had a feeling you'd love this." He smiles. I look to him and nod.
"Your feeling was on point. This is amazing." I say, adoring the view.I continue to stare out onto the valley as Garroth places a blanket down on the grass, placing the basket on it. I pry my gaze away and look to him. I smile as I sit down on it, the red plaid pattern proving to be very soft. He sits down and gets the food out. There were little sandwiches to a small cheese platter to a bowl of watermelon cubes. I can't help but blush as I watch.
"This is... incredible." I breathe, studying all the food payed out. I look up to see Garroth blushing a bit."Thank you. I tried to make it appealing for you." He admits.
"Garroth, thank you. No ones ever done this for me." I say, smiling.
"It's no problem. I love treating you to this kind of stuff." He says, grabbing a little sandwich quarter, cut in the shape of a triangle. He smiles at me and waves his sandwich in the air in front of him.
"Please, do help yourself." He adds, taking a bit. I nod and take a sandwich as well. I take a tiny sandwich and take a bite. It was a jam of some sorts, strawberry I believe. We chat about random and most likely pointless things as we eat. He makes me laugh unlike anyone else I've met. I feel so free just being here. With him. The afternoon flies by as we talk. So many topics as well. Our parents, lifestyles, desired pets, futures, love interests. I've never had such a great conversation. Hell, now I know his desired shirt to wear. As I said, many topics.
The sun started to lower as we talked. Hidden to our blind eyes. Soon, it was almost nightfall, and we hadn't even moved. The only indication we realized was the piercing orange light from the horizon. Other then that, I doubt we would've noticed.
"It's getting late." Garroth states, a small frown forming on his lips. I sigh and nod.
"Guess so. Would you like to head back?" I ask. He nods and stands, outstretching a hand. I take it and get hoisted up.We stuff all the leftovers and the blanket inside the basket. I glance back at the horizon to see that the sun was nearing completion of its setting. I silently curse at the sun. I was having a great time. I feel a light tap on my shoulder.
"Are you ready?" A soft voice asks. I turn and nod towards him. We walk away from the edge and head back to the village."We may have underestimated how long it would take us to get home." I frown, barely able to make out Garroth's figure besides me. I catch him nodding.
"Yeah, I had forgotten that tonight was a new moon, so there's not much light to see." We keep walking onwards, dodging trees in our path. Faint howls echoed in the distance. Wolves. I feel someone grab my hand and intertwine my fingers. I look to Garroth who was looking away.
"S-So we d-don't get lost.." he stutters. I grin like an idiot as I squeeze his warm hand.
"Something like that." I smirk. After about ten minutes, we made it back. We stroll through the now quiet town, heading for my house. I had almost forgotten that we were holding hands the whole way. We reach my door and I open it. I turn to smile at Garroth, his soft blue eyes gazing into my E/C ones. I felt momentarily paralyzed as the seconds ticked by. I blink and smile.
"Thanks for today Garroth. It's the best afternoon I've ever had." I say. He nods, not taking his eyes off me.
"It was no problem. Hopefully, we could do it again something, I had fun." I nod and step forward to hug him. He freezes, but returns it shortly after. I feel so warm and fuzzy in his embrace. For once, I'm glad I'm somewhat short. We pull apart and I turn to step in my house. I stop abruptly and sigh. I turn back and look at him for a second before grabbing his collar and pulling him down. I study his blushing face before I smile and kiss him. He returns it and places his hands on my waist, pulling closer. I place my hands against his chest. I would've noticed his muscles, but I was a bit preoccupied at the moment. We pull apart and gasp for air. I step back and smile, placing my hand on the door handle.
"Goodnight Garroth." I smile. His eyes turn soft as he smiles at me.
"G-G-Goodnight Y/N." I close the door and lean against it, quickly reliving the last few minutes. I couldn't help but smile goofily. I had definitely fallen for Garroth.Garroth's POV
I sigh as I stare at the now closed door. What was she doing to me? I blush as I recall what just happened. She kissed me. I couldn't get it out of my head. Her lips were soft and the kiss was sweet and warm. Now, I knew for sure that she also felt the same as me. I nod as I turn on my heel and head to the guards tower. Tomorrow I'll ask. I'll ask her the question that's been haunting me ever since we met. I glance up, surprised to see that my feet had carried me to the tower already. I grimace as I walk through. I wonder how the guys will tease me over this.
