MONDAY

Today, King was coming back and I was looking forward to seeing him even if we hadn't been in contact for a while. But I wasn't gonna let him off the hook for that, I needed him and he wasn't there for me.

"Are you catching the bus with me or are you gonna come by later?" Haley asked as we took our places in the canteen.

"I might as well just go with you" I shrugged. I put my bag down on the floor and took out a sandwich.

"Have you asked Luke about Chris yet?" Haley asked. I had told her everything about the possibility of me being related to Luke's family, me being their sister.

"I asked you to ask for Chris' number" I said rolling my eyes.

"How am I supposed to ask for my boyfriend's brothers number and not look weird?" Haley complained.

"I told you, make an excuse up" I whispered as they approached our table.

Michael sat next to me and Shamika sat on the other side. Luke placed a plate of chips in front of Haley then sat down.

"Thank you" she grinned. She kissed his cheek and started eating I stared at her until she looked up at me. She started chocking on her chips when she caught me glaring.

"You okay babe?" Luke asked rubbing her back.

"I- Yh I'm okay" she laughed.

"Why's Lola staring at you like that?" Michael asked chewing on his burger and looking at us back and forth.

I sighed. "Can I get your brothers number, Chris?"

Luke looked at me funny then looked at Haley. "What are you guys playing at? Do you like my brother or something?" He sat up and clasped his hands together.

"You know I'm dating King. We was talking about something and I wanna get back to him about it"

"What were y'all talking about?" Luke asked crossing his arms and leaning back into his seat.

See this is why I didn't want to ask directly I thought rolling my eyes big time. I don't want to tell him there's a fat chance that he's my brother.

"Chris told me about Lola adding him on the PlayStation cah she's sick at 2K" Michael butted in.

"What?" Luke laughed. "Since when did you play on the PS4?"

"Since forever" I lied through my teeth.

I stood by the school's entrance waiting for Haley after school. I tapped my foot impatiently, it had been 10 minutes since the bell had rung.

"Lola" Khloe called. None of her minions surrounded her.

"Hey Khloe" I greeted giving her a friendly hug.

"I hear that King is coming back" she stated.

"Yeh" I nodded.

"I bet you missed him a lot"

"Yeh I guess" I agreed looking backwards for Haley.

"Are you in a rush?" She asked following my eyes.

"No, I'm going with Haley to welcome him back I guess."

"That's cute" Khloe cheesed. "You guys are so cute. I used to see you guys at Milkshakes a lot"

I smiled at the thought of us just talking in the booth by the window.

"I always thought 'must be nice'" she laughed. I laughed with her too.
