"Good morning Ari," Kory smiled as Arya skipped into the kitchen cheerily.
"Morning Mom," Arya replied cheerily, pecking a quick kiss on her mother's cheek.
Glancing around the kitchen she noticed her father was nowhere in sight.
"Hey, um, where's Dad?" She questioned opening the pop-tart package she had grabbed off of the counter.
Starfire's orange skin visibly paled for a moment, "He's on the balcony, sweetheart don't bother--"
"Thanks Mom!" Arya ran out of the room before her Kory could finish her sentence.
Kory went to go after her, when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't, you'll only make it worse," Roy stated empathetically. "Today is you know..'the day'."
She sighed in defeat. "Your right."
"Of course I'm right!" Roy replied smugly.
"Oh don't you start..!" Why? Why do I love these imbeciles?? Kory wondered for a least the hundreth time.

"Dad? You out here?" Arya called looking around, but not seeing him. "Dad?!"
And then she spotted him. Perched on the balcony above her, a photograph held limply in his hand, fluttering with the slight breeze. Jason's face was a mixture of sorrow, and something else..rage? Hurt? Arya wasn't certain.
Lunging up onto the balcony, she sat down beside him. Sitting there quietly, waiting for him to speak.
An hour passed, and he finally spoke,"You know..after eight years, you would think that today, the day O died; wouldn't bother me anymore."
Jason's thumb brushed lightly over the dark clad figure in the photo.
"Can't believe I miss that old man," he muttered. "I even miss you Dick, despite your being a constantly annoying asshole."
"Who are they?" Arya gestured at the three figures in the picture. One was tall, cloaked in a black cape with a -bat?- cowl, a grey suit having a black bat symbol on his chest. The second person was slightly smaller, he wore a black Domino mask, a black Kevlar suit, with had a large electric blue bird symbol on the chest. While in the middle of them both, was a young, dark haired boy with the same type of mask as the last, in a red suit that had a R on it, along with a black and yellow cape finalizing the costume.
Jason smiled, Those were the good days. He reminisced. Jason then realized Arya still had a completely bewildered expression.
"My team. My family," he explained glancing at the curious brown eyed girl who sat beside him.
"Would you like to meet them?" He asked, his normal mischievous tone crept back into his voice.
Seeing Arya's nod, he continued, "How does today sound?"
*************************
Why are we at a cemetery? Arya questioned herself.
They had arrived about twenty minutes ago, Father said that they were waiting; but for what?
Just as her patience was about to wear out, a limo drove into Gotham's cemetery. It came to a stop a small ways away from where she and Jason were hiding amongst the shadows.
Two men exited the vehicle. One was middle-aged, with piercing ocean blue eyes and black hair which was starting to gray ever so slightly. The other was a young man in his late twenties, who also had brilliant blue eyes and black hair.
As they continued to watch, the newcomers made their way through the maze of graves to stop at one a few feet in front of Jason and Arya.
The younger man stared long and hard at the gravestone, until his frame began to shake ever so slightly.
He's crying? Peering more intensely she saw that not only was the younger crying, but also the older man had let a few tears slide down his face.
Eventually, the young man felt a comforting hand placed on his shoulder, he looked up to see his company nod at the limo, before turning without a word to return to the car; he soon followed.
As the car receded out of sight, Arya's curiosity bubbled over, "Who were they? Are they the people from the picture?"
"That my dear, was your grandfather, the mighty Bruce Wayne! And your uncle, Dick Grayson," Jason sarcastically placed his hand over his heart, "here to mourn at my gravestone!"
"What happened between you and Bruce? To make you despise him so much?" Arya inquired pointedly.
"Let's just say, he wasn't able to save me fast enough. Which, of course I sort-of forgave him for. But to replace me with another Robin? Doesn't the Bat ever learn?"
He sniggered,"What bastards. Like they ever cared? Puh-lease."
"Wait, just so I get this right. My grandfather is THE Batman?!" Arya's eyes lit up in excitement.
Jason rolled his eyes, "Don't sound so enthuised, he's an ass."
"Oh no! No no no!" Arya clutched her head, her face twisted in absolute horror, "If Nightwing, is my uncle then...Oh my God! I shoved my uncle off a roof. A freaking roof!"
Jason held up his hands to stop her tirade, "Firstly language young lady. If you start to sound like me your mother will..." He shuddered at the mere thought.
Remembering his point, Jason placed his hands on his hips and glared (subconscious bat-glare) at his daughter, "Secondly, when did you fucking meet Nightwing!?!"
Arya shifted nervously from foot to foot, "Um, ah, about; a week ago?"
Jason's shout of "Fuck!" rang throughout the graveyard.
After he settled down a bit, he chuckled softly as a thought suddenly hit him, "A roof huh? You shoved, my highly trained, acrobatic brother off a roof!?! God I wish I'd gotten that on video."
"Your not, mad?" Arya was so confused by now, what was so funny?
"On the contrary my dear, I'm not mad I'm pissed. But..let it never be said that I Jason Todd, would pass up on an opportunity for a perfect joke."
Now, she was thoroughly lost. What...? What was he talking about?
Squatting down so that he'd be her height, he said "What do you say, in return for not telling your mother anything about you meeting Nighty, " His eyes sparked with mischief. "What if you helped your old dad take a little.."
Jason pulled out his knife and caressed it lovingly, the dark look on his face when he lifted his head back up to meet her gaze sent chills down Arya's spine, "Revenge?"
