This is so lame, Arya grumbled to herself.
They had put a collar on her, an electric-shock collar to be precise; that way Arya couldn't escape, no matter how hard she may try.
Due to Tim's persuasion they'd let her out of her cell and she was now allowed to roam free throughout the Batcave.
A collar. What am I? A dog? Arya tugged at the metal band around her neck in an attempt to loosen it, but to no avail.
Shooting a perfect bat-glare at Damien she hissed in annoyance while pointing at her neck,"Is this thing really necessary?"
"T-t, if I had my way you'd still be in your cell, peasant," Damien sniffed indignantly.
If looks could kill... her uncle would be dead.
Arya wasn't really one for blood or violence, but she'd already plotted seven different ways to kill this prick, within the past three seconds.
Wow, a new record! She congratulated herself, Next time let's try for two--
"Oh my god that's creepy!" Tim screeched, literally jumping when he saw the evil smirk playing on Arya's lips while she gazed 'lovingly' at Damien.
"Watch the prisoner Drake," Damien commanded in his eternally haughty tone,"I, need to have a word with Father."
"You do know he's out on patrol, right?"
"Of course I know that Drake, why do you think I said to watch the prisoner?!" Damien hissed annoyed that his adopted sibling had dared to question him.
Tim raised an eyebrow, his lips beginning to form the start of an sarcastic retort, only to stop before speaking. It wasn't worth it.
Once 'The Demon' had left the Cave, Arya and Tim looked at each other and bursted out laughing.
"'Watch the prisoner, Drake,'"Arya mimicked Damien's voice."'I need to go be a pompous as--summing moron."
Tim shoulders shook with laughter at her tactful improvision. But she was right. Damien truly was an ass.
At least I made someone laugh, she'd tried to get her grandfather to laugh when he'd first let her out of that cell.
Yeah, turns out Batman can't take a joke (Are we really that surprised?) and Arya got to learn that first hand.
"Hey Tim," they'd both agreed that 'Uncle Tim' was out of the question, "what time is it?"
Tim narrowed his eyed at her in suspicion, " Why do you want to know?"
Folding his arms in front of him he bent forward a little so that he was eye level with the ten (possibly eleven) year old.
She pulled a Batman without even a second thought, answering with the first thing that popped into her mind,"I have a curfew."

       ********************

Wayne Manor, of course it just had to be my ex's house, why not?
The last time Kory had been inside the manor, she had walked in only to find her boyfriend making out with her friend Barbra.
She could still remember it like it was yesterday...
Kory was fidgeting nervously with a strand of her hair.
She was standing outside Wayne Manor, debating whether or not to go inside.
Her relationship with Dick had been so strained lately, and last night they had had the biggest fight yet.
Steeling herself, Kory raised her hand to the doorbell and pressed it before she could change her mind.
"Hello Miss Kory,  I assume you are here to see Master Dick?" Alfred asked as he opened the door for her.
"Yes, Yes I am. Thank you Mr. Alfred."
"Please, just call me Alfred, the butler, or Pennyworth, just no 'Mr. Alfred'  I don't need to feel older than I am," Alfred teased lightly, his face was poised and emotionless as always; but if you looked closely you could see the slight hint of a smile playing on his lips.
"Okay Alfred," Kory beamed at him, but her smile soon faded as she recalled why she was here in the first place.
"Where's Dick?" She asked glancing around the empty corridor.
"I do believe he is in the study with Miss Barbra."
"Thank you," Heading up the stairs she slowly made her way to the study, going over how to say what she wanted to say.
"Dick, I..our relationship has been so strained lately..is it over? No..um, how about..Dick, we need to talk. No! I sound like his father," Kory muttered quietly.
"Dick. we have a great relationship, despite our differences; but I need to know if you're ready to take it a step further. Yes, yes that's it."
Taking a deep breathe she swung the door open to see... Barbra and Dick passionately kissing each other on the lips.
Kory gasped, her brilliant green eyes widening in shock and hurt.
     "How could you..?" She whispered.
Hearing the door slam carelessly against the wall, Dick and Barbra jumped apart.
Turning to face the door they both froze at the realization that Kory had just witnessed them making out.
"Kory, it's not what it looks like," Dick began, putting his hand up in a timeout gesture.
Kory shook her head, eyes glowing as a tear slid town her orange cheek.
Backing out of the room she spun around and began running down the hall toward the steps. Dick following closely behind her.
"Kory! Kory wait! Kory let me explain!" He begged causing her to pause at the bottom step.
Snapping her head up to look at him the red head said four words,"I guess it's over."
"No, no, Kory listen," Dick vaulted over the railing, landing neatly on floor below. But she was already at the door.
"Kory please, don't do this," he begged trying get her to stop, he knew once she walked out the door she'd never come back.
"Me?!" She screeched, his words had hit her final nerve.
Whirling around to face him, her hair a tornado of red fire framing her face made her seem like the  warrior she truly was.
"You did 'this' Dick. And now," her voice dropped in tone to but not in venom, We, you and me, we're over. Goodbye Dick."
Kory blinked and the memory vanished.
That was three years ago, life had been hard on the young alien, but that day had been the worst day of her life.
The amount of hurt and betrayal that she'd felt was unbelievable. She quit being a Titan and left the whole  superhero gig behind.
She swore she'd never step foot in this house again, and yet her she was once more ringing the doorbell.
As she'd expected, Alfred was the one to open the door.
"Miss Kory! What are--" he never got to finish his question. A quick jab of her elbow to Alfred's head knocked him out cold.
Kory lunged forward to catch the old butler before he fell, lowering him gently onto the floor and out of the main pathway.
She harboured no ill will towards the kind man, in fact Kory rather liked him. But she was here for two things: her daughter, and the blood of those who took her.

Since Dick's walls had crumbled he and Jason had been talking to each other like they used too.
It almost seemed like nothing had happened, but the shadows of the past always lurked at the edge of their conversations.
They were currently laughing about when Jason had first met Bruce, he had been stealing the tire rims off of the Batmobile.
"If I had done that, Bruce would have killed me!" Dick whined playfully at the 'unfairness' of it all.
Jason wiggled his eyebrows. A smug look plastered on his face, "What can I say? I'm amazing!"
"Keep telling yourself that, maybe one day it will come true," Dick snorted.
"You'd question my awesomeness?! Why you mother--" An alarm blared drowning out the rest of his sentence (which honestly  was probably for the best).
Dick jumped to his feet, worry etching across his forehead. He knew that siren, it was the intruder alert warning.
The two brothers eyes locked and a look of understanding passed between them.
Jason chuckled as he watched his big brother sprint out of the room.
Reaching into the white streak of his hair, Jason pulled out a small pin about the size of a grain of rice.
Tapping the pin's side twice it extended into a normal sized lock-pick. (Let's just say that this pin was *cough* borrowed *cough*)
He smirked at the device in his hands and began working on unlocking his cuffed feet.
They opened with a resounding clack.
Getting to his feet, Jason rolled his shoulders to relieve the tension in his cramped muscles.
Kory, you're late. Jason grumbled to himself, he had known she'd show up eventually, but a day late?!
     "Damn, we're losing our touch."

       ********************

Dick had thrown on his domino mask as he had left Jason, he was already in his suit so his identity was completely hidden, but if they'd known to attack Wayne Manor it probably didn't matter anyhow.
Walking cautiously into the main part of the Batcave his hands hovered over his escrima sticks.
"MOM NO!" He knew that voice it was..Arya right? "Put HIM down!"
Wait, Mom? Jason's narried? Didn't see that coming. Maybe it's just a girlfriend?
Peering out from behind the the suit display cases Dick saw a woman with red hair clad in a scanty purple  costume floating just above Arya, holding Tim in the air by his throat with one hand.
        He couldn't help himself. "KORY?"
Her head snapped his direction and in a flash (bad joke I know) she was hovering front of him. Tim's unconscious body still dangling in her grasp.
Shit, Dick cursed himself mentally for being so stupid as to give away his location.
Looking up into deep green eyes he felt his entire body shiver at the malicious look in her eyes.
"Mom no!" Arya screamed as she realised what was about to happen.
"That's your mother?!" Dick was shocked, now it all made sense...
Crap, she was still in front of him, snapping out of his shock he flipped his escrimas off of his belt and into his hands.
A blast of green energy shot out from her free hand, making Dick cart wheel out of the way just in time, the blast skimming just over where his head had been.
He looked at her with an  stunned, he knew she'd been mad, but what the heck?
Unfortunately for Nightwing he let his guard down while in he was mulling over his thoughts.
"Hello, Dick," Kory's soft voice was the last thing he heard before a red bow slammed into the side of his head.
