Gotham Academy

Bruce crossed his hands in front of him on the table as he stared at the two people across from him. Taking a deep breathe he voiced the reason he had called them all together for, "I think it would be beneficial to Arya if you enrolled her into Gotham Academy."
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Jason shrieked at the same time Kory slammed her glowing green palms into the mahogany table in front of her.
"First of all, Jason, watch your language or I swear I will slam you through a wall again. Secondly, there is no way I am allowing my daughter enter a public school; she could be kidnapped, held for ransom, bullied, the list goes on. No. No way!" Kory glowered at the two males.
"It's not a public school, it's a private school. And think about the positive influences it will have on her. She'll be able to get a good education, make friends, learn how to socialize, have a glimpse at a normal life. As for protection, she's around the same age as Damien and Timothy so she'll be able to attend the same classes as them," Bruce reasoned calmly.
"But that.. there's no...aw shit he's right Kory," Jason admitted grimacing at having to acknowledge that his 'father' had a point.
Kory turned her withering expression to Jason, lifting her hand threateningly, "Lan--nevermind. Explain. Now."
Shifting nervously in his seat as he eyed the flames dancing across Kory's fingertips Jason stated, "She's only spent time with two people her own age: Damien and Tim. She deserves to be able to make some friends. And do you really feel like homeschooling Ari constantly?"
The flames slowly died."Fine!" The redhead snapped moodily. "But if anything goes wrong... you're both as good as dead."
Jason gulped while Bruce just nodded at her promise. After the two Outlaw members had walked out, well, Jason was more of dragged by Kory but nevertheless, Bruce let out a resounding sigh.
This all rather reminded him of when he'd first told Damien he was going to school; Bruce winced at the memory, his hand subconsciously rubbing the two inch, diagonal scar on his shoulder where his youngest had stabbed him.
The only thing that had shocked him about his conversation with Jason and Kory was that his son had agreed with him. He would never admit it, but Jason agreeing with him had made Bruce feel a spark of hope, that maybe one day their relationship would go back to how it once had been...but that was just a wish...

"This, is ridiculous." Damien growled crossing his arms in indignation.
The three youngest members of the Batfamily were currently seated in the back of one of the eldest Wayne's limousines on their way to Gotham Academy.
"Damien! Stop! You're going to give Arya a bad impression of school!" Tim scolded his little brother.
"It's a pointless extracurricular activity. And to make it worse, I'm stuck with you two imbeciles," the ten year old huffed his green eyes flashing with annoyance.
Arya shrugged cheerfully giving Damien a optimistic smile, "It can't be that bad!"
Grabbing both of Arya's shoulders the little assassin looked her dead in the eyes with a serious expression, "Yes. Yes it can. This place is hell on Earth, it would be better to be left in the care of my mother for a week, than to go to this pit of death."
Tim facepalmed. From the look on Arya's face she was sufficiently terrified as she now stared at floor wringing her hands nervously; meanwhile Damien looked pleased at having instilled his words of wisdom into his niece's brain.
Leaning his forehead against the window Tim let out a sigh of complete resignation as he whispered to himself, "This is going to be a long school year."

        ****************************

School didn't seem that bad so far in Arya's opinion.
Since she appeared to be around Tim's age she had most of the same classes as he did according to their schedule sheets. And she also had a few classes with Damien since he'd jumped a few grades.
At the moment though, she'd lost sight of both of the Bat brothers, and couldn't seem to find her next class. At all.
Sighing she stared down at her schedule with a dumbfounded expression. She'd been wandering around the hallway attempting to follow the directions for the past five minutes with no such luck.
Arya flinched when she felt a light tap on her shoulder, clutching her books tightly to her chest she turned around.
Standing in front of her was a girl with long, straight, strawberry-blonde hair and mischievous hazel green eyes that seemed to be sparkling with ill concealed amusement as she spoke, "I couldn't help but noticed you seemed a bit lost."
Arya let out an embarrassed chuckle as she scratched the back of her neck.
"Yeah, I guess I am. It's my first day here," she explained, "Oh! I'm Arya by the way. Arya Todd."
The beautiful creature in front of her smiled, "Primrose Gordon, but you can call me Prim."
Arya smiled inwardly to herself; this was the first time she'd ever talked to a girl her age, and in her mind she was killing it.
Glancing at the books in Arya's hands the red head gave the younger a questioning look, "Which class are you heading to next?"
"Biology, I think," she said slowly, it was Biology, right? The brunette let out a gasp as Prim suddenly grabbed her by the hand and began running, dragging Arya with her.
"I have the same class, and we, my  friend are about to be late!" Prim said  over her shoulder as they continued running.
Being careful not to drop her textbooks Arya looked at their now entwined hands and smiled. Maybe going to school every day wouldn't be so bad after all.
And that, was the start of a beautiful friendship.

       ****************************

Arya sighed contentedly as she flopped into the backseat of the limo next to Damien and Tim.
Looking out the window she saw Prim waving at her from the entrance of the school.

      ****************************

Prim felt a prick of satisfaction as she saw Arya wave back at her with a shy smile.
She had to admit, the human was cute. With gorgeous chocolate eyes, a creamy complexion, and stunning dark brown curls. She couldn't even imagine how she'd look as a vampire.
And since she was the descendant of Vladimir Drakon, her blood was probably divine, Prim licked her lips at the thought of tasting the little brunette's blood.
She'd been on a strict animal diet as a punishment from Vlad himself after her last little...killing spree in which an entire town was massacred. Which unfortunately for Prim, caught the attention of a lot of humans. Let's just say that Dracula wasn't to pleased with her.
That was two hundred years ago. You'd think he'd have forgiven Prim by now. But nooo, the vampire king could hold a grudge.
Her eyes flashed yellow-gold momentarily as she continued staring at the car as it drew further and further away. "Well, this should be interesting."
