"Almost edible ..." I could see the fear growing just beyond her eyes. Accompanied by silent screams for mercy that sounded less appeasing than her verbal cries. I'd give anything to hear those sounds again. Maybe even play her game a little bit longer ...
"I mean how could she not covered in all this candy apple red." I chuckled wrapping my arm around Tessa's waist. "Behave princess." I whispered sharply into her ear. At my command she quickly pulled away from Scarlett and gave a friendly smile.
"She does look exceptional in red." Drew wrapped his arm around Scarlett's waist as she released all the unnecessary air she had accumulated in her chest. I allowed my eyes to roam over her body again. I couldn't lie. I liked the feeling of having her at my mercy. Even if it wasn't quite the way I intended to get it.
"Would you two like to join us inside?" I asked knowing Drew would undoubtedly agree. "Ladies first." I said releasing the grip I had on Tessa's waist as Drew nudged a hesitant Scarlett ahead of him. Tessa swiftly wrapped her right arm around Scarlett's left before making what I could only assume was friendly conversation.
Tessa had been well trained. All it took was a simple command to get her to act accordingly. Had she not been blowed she wouldn't even have approached us so openly to begin with. That shit was starting to fuck with her mind and cloud her judgement.
For the better part of our "relationship" I had been her drug of choice. But now it seems as though I had been replaced. My pride wouldn't allow it to bother me too much. Like I had said before. They come and they go. This little situationship I had with Tessa was no where near important enough for me to risk dirtying my reputation. I had an image to maintain after all.
Which was part of the reason I had grown so attached to the thought of having Scarlett as my own. I had enjoyed living my life in the fast lane for most of my young adulthood. Now as my 32nd birthday crept closer I couldn't help but to feel as though my fly by the night image was starting to catch up with me.
Scarlett was well rounded. She was a good girl with just a hint of danger. A deadly yet appealing combination.
I needed someone who at least understood my current lifestyle. I had learned the hard way that not every woman would be so accepting of my past. And hiding it was out of the question. Hollywood was small. And just as things had their way oy coming to light anywhere else in the world, Hollywood was no exception.
We all took a seat on the large sofa I had specifically cut off and marked for me. Tessa sat next to me naturally as Drew cozied up next to Scarlett. I signaled for a server and requested a bottle of champagne be brought over. "Scarlett, you must be proud of Drew." I made sure to lock eyes with her. If she thought I was done getting under her skin she was sadly mistaken. I had only begun to play her game.
"I am." She wrapped her hand around his knee before staring lovingly into his face. I fought the urge to roll my eyes as Drew returned the gesture. Placing his lips briefly against hers.
"Awe." Tessa mumbled gaining a swift neck snap from me. She sensed my eyes burning a hole into the side of her face and quickly relaxed into the cushion of the sofa. I planted a weak smile on my face as the doting couple returned their attention to us.
"Is it true what they say?"
Her eyes darted around in confusion for a moment. Trying to mask the bit of irritation threatening to show o her face. "What have you heard?" She asked slightly nudging Drew in the side with her elbow.
"That it's good luck to have you around." I was eager to find out for myself.
"I don't know." She blushed. "There are few people who I'm sure would beg to differ." Her eyes fell into her lap. I could tell the amount of attention I was bestowing upon her was finally edging away at her tough girl façade.
