"Is that everything?" I asked mowing over the neatly packed luggage on my living room floor.

"Yes sir. Is there anything else you would like for me to do for you before you go?" Eve my housekeeper/assistant for all intents and purposes asked standing beside it. A knock from the door could be heard soon after.

"The door." I said with a chuckle while trying to juggle the phone at my ear as I double checked my carry on bag for my chargers and ear plugs. "I'm literally walking out the door." I lied to Patrick who was frankly getting on my last damn nerve. I knew I was a minute past late but that wasn't what was truly bothering him. He felt as though I was spending way too much time with someone else's good luck charm as he so eloquently put it.

He felt as though I should have spent the weeks following the movie release and press tour working on my social media presence in preparation for my next film. And I felt as though I had been doing just that. Maybe not to his liking but hell I was trying. Whatever happened to baby steps? For him to be a manager he sure had a hard time managing to mind his own damn business. I didn't know who was more demanding. Him or my fans? Both would have to accept how I did things on my terms, whether they liked it or not. I might have been an actor but I was still a person. One who deserved a bit of privacy.

"Must I remind you that you are renting this got damn jet by the hour. You're not just an hour late, you're 15'000 dollars late! And that's assuming the traffic isn't too bad. What would your little accountant have to say about that? Huh?!" He gritted through clenched teeth.

"Nigg ... Patrick." I corrected myself, almost forgetting who the fuck I was even talking to. "I'm on my way. Sit tight. Have a drink. Relax." I said before disconnecting the call. If I wasn't worried about the tab than why was he.

"Ms. Thompson is here to see you." Eve announced catching me completely off guard. I had completely forgotten about the knock at the door. I turned to find them both only a few feet away. I nodded at Eve and she quickly made her way down the hall before disappearing.

"What's up?" I asked trying not to sound aggravated by her pop up.

"What's up? I haven't talked to you in almost three weeks and that's all you have to say to me." She offered removing her coat and walking over to the sofa I was seated at.

"Well I've been busy. Haven't you? You sure it's been three weeks? I barely even noticed." I admitted garnering a look of shock from her. "I mean it didn't even feel like it princess." I offered attempting to diffuse the potential argument. Me calling her princess always had a way of calming or arousing her. The look on her face at the moment left me unsure of which it had done just now. If either.

"Of course you haven't. You found yourself a new toy to play with and now I don't mean anything to you anymore." I wanted to tell her she never did. Or at least not in the way she had thought. But I couldn't afford this conversation turning into a huge blow out. I didn't have time for this shit right now. I was late and needed to head for the airport.

"Don't be like that." I said placing my hand on her knee. "You're still my princess."

"Yeah ... just not your baby doll." She gritted pushing my hand away. "What happened to us?"

"Us?" I repeated wondering just what she meant by that word. Don't get me wrong.Tessa and I had a history. And not a short one. But one that definitely came with an understanding. That understanding being that we were not exclusive.

When we first met years ago the chemistry was evident. But not necessarily in a romantic way. It was like we just clicked. We had an understanding of the game. The Hollywood game that is. And how it was played. We both understood our potential and the risk that came with that. So after working with her and developing a bond things just happened. I mean we were both just so focused on our careers that everything else played second fiddle. And with that being said, we both knew how hard dating was in the entertainment business.
