Third Person POV

Lynn awoke to loud bang on the door to her chambers. She sprang out of bed, rushing to the door to find Kylo standing there, irritation on his face.

"Here," he threw a bundle of clothes at Lynn, "Get dressed, we have work to do."

Lynn stood there staring at him for a moment, her tired brain trying to catch up. She held the clothes close to her and then quickly moved to do as she was told.

"Just a moment." She said before she closed the door so she could change.
She had been given a black body suit and boots. She was glad to find that the suit was loose where it needed to be and fitting where it needed to be. It was comfortable and meant for movement. She then quickly tied her hair in a high ponytail, knowing its length would get in the way.

Fully dressed she reemerged from behind her door, Kylo stood there waiting with his arms crossed. He was clearly eager to get started and Lynn didn't want to see his bad side.

He led her throughout the ship once again until they came to a large set of doors. With a scan of his hand the large doors opened and reveal a large room full of equipment and weaponry. Padding covered the floor, weapons and sparing tools lined the walls. It was intimidating and yet exciting to look at all at the same time. Lynn and Rey used to practice hand to hand combat all the time, dreaming of going on daring adventures and being Jedi. Her trip through memory lane was cut off by Kylo's instructions.

"Hand to hand combat should be your most relied upon skill. There is no guarantee that you will always have a weapon and to rely heavily on the Force would be foolish. Today I will show you fighting techniques that should you be without a weapon and your opponent is not that you will still be able to overcome them. So let's jump right in, I want to see what you can do."

The two stood on opposite sides of the large mat. Lynn was nervous to say the least and she knew that Kylo was way more skilled in combat and could easily take her. But she was determined to try and not to let her fears get he best of her, she wasn't going to fail now when her mission had just started.

Without warning he sprang towards her, his fist aimed for her face. Panic and adrenaline set in and much to her surprise she blocked his blow. He moved quickly, throwing blow after blow. Lynn blocked as many as she could but he was faster than she was. She began to doubt she was going to win this fight when Kylo grabbed her by the arm and twisted it. Generating a pain so intense she dropped to her knees. That's when he went for a forceful kick to her stomach, she landed on her back hard. He offered her a hand up and she accepted it greatfully. But it back fired on her once he used the momentum of pull her pulling her up to flip her causing Lynn to land harshly on her back once again.

"The enemy will not give you a break during combat nor will they give you a hand up. In this room, when we are training, we are enemies." He stated. Lynn huffed, she could feel that all to familiar rage building up again.

She stood up and decided to make the first move, she rushed towards him and grabbed him by the waist, sending him rolling over her back and onto the floor. He quickly swiped his foot across the floor, right to Lynn's feet, knocking her to the ground. She somersaulted away from him, getting to her feet she quickly grabbed a large wooden staff, used for sparring, leaning on the wall and sung it at Kylo. He quickly dodged it, using a technique Lynn had never seen before, he not only managed to get the staff away from her but also managed to toss her back onto the mat.

With one of end of the staff pointed directly at Lynn's throat, Kylo smiled slightly. She glared up at him, unsure of how he a managed to do what he just did. She was about to ask when a man called out for Kylo, causing his frown to return.
