Third Person POV
It had been days since Lynn's last meeting with Supreme Leader Snoke. She was trying her best to subdue the feelings his words had brought up within her.
Kylo had been there for her, comforted her without knowing the reasons behind her sudden fits of rage and sadness. The two had become even closer the last couple of days and she couldn't imagine being without him.
Lynn now stood in front of the large doors that hid the Supreme Leader behind them. She'd be lying if she said she weren't nervous. Dread instantly filling her being as she entered his dwelling place. The numerous red armoured guards leaving as soon as she stood in front of the disfigured creature.
"So Lynn, tell me. How would you say your training is coming along?" Snoke's voice boomed off the rounded walls and ceiling.
"Master Ren's teachings have been excellent. Every passing day I feel the power within me grow. Overall I'd say my training is going superbly." She reported monotonely. There was an underlying fear of the creature before her and she was trying everything in her power not to let him see.
"Good...very good. Has Lord Ren brought you in on his mission to locate Luke Skywalker?" He questioned.
"No Supreme Leader, he has not."
"I see. Are you aware that your sister is with Skywalker as we speak?"
"N-no."
"Consider this an opportunity then, get your sister to give up Skywalker and you will be put in a such a place of power in the First Order, that you will lead armies. The whole galaxy will respect and fear your name. Prove your loyalty to the First Order, no matter the cost. Can you do that?"
"Yes." Lynn, responded. Luke meant nothing to her and as for her sister, she could easily be persuaded.
"What about Rey?" He raised an eyebrow.
"What about her? She can easily be persuaded."
"Are you confident? Just as you grow stronger with the Force. So does she, make sure you are prepared to do what is necessary to achieve our goal." He warned.
"I won't let you or the First Order down." Lynn said with power in her voice.
"Good...you are dismissed." He said with a wave of his hand.
She left with a sense of determination.
She liked the sound of being in the upper ranks of the First Order, leading armies. Being in such a position would give her the perfect opportunity to carry out what Kylo Ren had spoken of, changing the galaxy for the better.
She marched towards Kylo's chambers excited to share the news with him.
Lynn entered Kylo's chamber to find him looking at halographs of charts and maps. He quickly put them away once he heard her enter.
"Lynn." He breathed with a smile as he turned to look at her.
"Kylo, my love, I have some very exciting news." Lynn beamed with excitement.
"What is it?"
"Supreme Leader Snoke has assigned me to help in the search for Skywalker. He also said that if we are successful, I will be put in a high position of power and lead armies." She told him with pride.
She was confused to find a blank expression on Kylo's face, a strange darkness in his eyes.
"Is that so?" He asked, his voice monotone.
"Why the sour ora? I thought you would be more excited?" She asked puzzled.
"This is a very exciting opportunity, that part is true." He answered.
"But not for me?" Her chest began to feel heavy.
"Of course for you....I just don't think now is the right time." He explained as he grabbed her hands. A pitiful smile painted his lips.
She looked at him with hurt and anger. Isn't this what he wanted? For them to rule the galaxy together? This was the first step in their dream, this mission could be the building block to an empire that the two of them would rule.
"What do you mean?" She quickly removed her hands from his.
"I've already told you."
"Say it plainly Kylo." She demanded, her anger clear. Their faces were inches away from each other, her eyes staring daggers into his.
"I don't think you're ready. Maturity wise and skill wise. You lack the will to do what is necessary and you lack the experience to tackle such a task." He said matter-of-factly. His expression was blank, unlike Lynn's. She stood there, eyes wide and mouth agape with disbelief at what she had just heard.
"It is a direct order from Snoke, you cannot go against it." She protested.
"Once I explain to Snoke what I have explained to you, he will see that I am right." He turned away from her, heading towards the door.
"What has gotten into you? This isn't the Kylo I know speaking." Lynn asked, her voice filled with hurt.
He spun around, anger his sole emotion. She has never seen his eyes so dark and cold. There was something else there, just behind his eyes. She couldn't quiet make it out.
"You know nothing!" He boomed. "You are but a child! Believe me when I say you are not ready. I killed my father because it was necessary and it only made me stronger! Do you have the strength to kill your sister? To let the past die and become what you were meant to be?"
Lynn's back was against a wall, Kylo's face once again inches away from hers. She could feel hot tears running down her cheeks, a pain in her chest she hadn't felt in a long time began to over come her.
"You're a monster." She spat at him. He looked at her, his features dropping for a moment. He let his eyes fall to the floor.
"Yes, yes I am." He said quietly and took a step back. He looked back up at Lynn, just in time to she her run out of the room. As soon as the door was closed, he let out a a sob and fell to his knees. Why did I say those things? He thought to himself. He couldn't believe what had just happened, he didn't feel that way at all, he knew she was more than ready to take on a task such as this. He sat there in disbelief.
Snoke's POV
Snoke smiled to himself, his plan was coming along perfectly. He had promised the girl an empire she could not have and made the boy turn against his lover. Lynn was making Kylo weak and Snoke could not loose his best asset. The girl would bring her sister here and with her the location of Skywalker. Then once he had Rey and Luke's whereabouts he would kill Lynn and watch as Kylo Ren became even greater than Darth Vader, or Emperor Palpatine himself! Or maybe he would make Kylo believe the girl was dead and he would just keep her as a pet. Both would be amusing and get the job done. Snoke would go down in history and the First Order would rule the galaxy. He smiled to himself once more.
