Chapter Seven

Normani's POV

After Y/n ran off Ally spoke, "What's wrong with her?"

I shrugged. "I have no idea."

"I'll tell you what's wrong with her," Lauren said, "she's such a bitch she won't perform for cancer kids."

"That's not true," I defended her. "She tried to perform but she started to cry. I wonder why."

"It was probably for show. She doesn't care about these kids. She only cares about herself," Lauren scoffed.

I rolled my eyes before speaking, "Let's get this show over with." So I can talk to her after that is. So that's what we did. We went on stage and performed.

Your POV

On the bus I continued to cry. Oh how I missed her. Her smile, her laugh, her sense of humor. Just everything. Why did it have to be her? Anyone but her. I turned to Blair. "Why Blair?" I asked. "Why Ellie?" Once I said her name I started to sob even harder. Blair held me through it all.

"I don't know," she answered. "Neither of you deserved such a fate. I'm sorry."

I wiped my eyes. "Not your fault," I gave a weak smile. "She always said better her than anyone else. She was so strong through it all. Never let it get her down, always wore a smile. I miss her, Blair."

"I know," Blair rubbed my back. "It'll be okay though. I may not know how or when but it'll be okay. One day that is."

"What if that day never comes? What if I'm never okay again."

"Wanna know how you can maybe get there?"

I looked up at her. "How?"

"Open up." I gave a confused look. "Talk to Normani. Tell her the truth. Get it off your chest."

I shook my head. "I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because."

"Because why?"

"Because it hurts!" I broke down into more tears as I hugged her. "It hurts so much. Every time I look at her I see Ellie. I see who she could've become. I just wish she hadn't-"

Then the door burst open.

I know I know short. But hey we're getting to the good stuff. So hold on. Yeah that's it. Bye.
