Chapter Fifteen

Your POV

I was sitting in the back of the bus reading when the door opened. I looked up expecting to see Blair because she usually wakes up when I leave and since everyone else is asleep but instead I saw Normani. "What are you doing up?" I asked confused.

"I could ask you the same thing," she smirked.

I nodded. "Fair enough. I'm reading."

"I couldn't sleep," she replied and sat next to me. "What book is it?"

"The Gravity Between Us."

"What's it about?"

"Two girls. They're best friends. One's going to college and the others an actress. They're supposed to end up together but it sure is taking a while."

She nodded. "Is it good?"

"Yeah. I really like it. Wanna know what's funny though?"

"What?"

"One of the characters name is Lauren."

Normani smiled. "Really?" I nodded. "I'm so telling Lauren once she wakes up."

I went back to reading as she stared at me. After a while I decided to address it. "Are you just gonna stare at me the whole time?" I saw her blush and look away. I chuckled. "You're adorable."

"You-you think I'm adorable?" She stuttered.

I gave her a look. "No. I think you're annoying. Yes I think you're adorable."

She smiled again. "Thanks."

I went back to reading as she continued to stare. "Okay," I closed my book and looked at her, "you have a serious staring problem."

"Sorry," she blushed and looked away. "It's just..."

"Just?"

"You're so beautiful. I can't help but stare."

Now it was my turn to blush and look away. "Thanks." It was silent for a moment.

Until she broke it that is, "I don't get this."

I looked at her. "Get what?"

"Before you wouldn't even look at me, now you're actually spending time with me. What changed?"

"I guess, I started to think about you when I'm with you rather than Ellie. I found out it's a lot easier to be around you like that."

She smiled. "Well, I'm glad. I like spending time with you."

"I like spending time with you too." It became silent again and we both yawned. "I guess we should go to bed huh."

"Yeah I guess we should," Normani chuckled. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight." She walked to her bunk and so did I. When I climbed in I saw Blair awake. "What are you doing up?"

"You left so I woke up. What'd you do anyway? It's been like two hours."

"I was reading."

"And?"

"Talking to Normani."

"Really?" Blair asked smiling.

I nodded. "Yeah. It's becoming easier to be around her."

"That's good. I bet you like that huh."

I smiled. "Yeah I do. I like being around her. I really like her Blair."

"I'm happy for you Y/n/n."

"Thanks. We should probably get some sleep now. You have an interview tomorrow."

"You right. Goodnight."

"Goodnight Love."  I then turned on my side so we could cuddle and we fell asleep.
